Slim win I say, but 3 points is 3 points.
There have been many things happened recently a big win would be the boost expected from the match, but oh well... Our players; especially those regulars have to buck up. Walcott showed some good runs and that remained nothing but, run. Surprisingly, Ramsey was poor despite his MOTM performance with his national side. RvP was poor IMHO, but I do not really know why Better players were like Kos, Woj, Arteta, Sagna. I think Frimpong was doing fine, some clumsy moments but overall doing good in critical situation. a good backup to Song but too bad both will be involved in AFC Gibbs were like on and off. His crosses were good, especially the one to Chamakh... but his defense is |

But seriously guys, EPL level has been lifted up this season (I stand corrected since it's only the 4th games).
We are still not "there" yet. Given too many new players, injuries, interlulls; we have no choice but buck up or find a good formula to blend in the best of the available players in a short time. .... maybe a 4-4-2 (or 4-4-1-1) is the answer |

QUOTE(toshio14 @ Sep 11 2011, 02:09 AM) sedikit komen mengenai perlawanan yang baru lepas Walcott for the central role? It's still a valid debate topic since the man himself has stated his desire to play at that position. I welcome this idea because RvP is not really a fox in the box aka true finisher. IF the above 2 are allowed, we will have a 4-4-1-1 formation. Well, I understand that players do run and interchange a lot but the basic positioning in formation should be defined too. If I were to choose between the 4-4-1-1 or the current 4-3-3, I would give the former a try |

QUOTE(sakaito @ Sep 11 2011, 12:35 PM) Bro sakaito, win is win, 3 points is points, that's the ultimate objective. However, it was considered a slim victory that the team was not comfortable with. We know that we have enough quality to get a comfortable victory but we just couldn't |

3 points in the bag, that's the most important.
But after that, we have to evaluate ourselves on how to get more 3 points. Definitely not with the same kind of performance against Swansea, especially when we are against better teams such as the Top 4-5 teams. We just have to be better (somehow), and in shorter time. Overall, new players such as Arteta, Per and Benayoun were very convincing and clearly showed the difference (when compared to our current crop of players); especially Arteta and Benayoun for their EPL experiences. For these 2 players, I would say that they require zero transition in adapting the EPL games - which is good as they need more time to adapt on Arsenal football and where the players run to. Yes, Fabregas is no longer our player. Let's forget about him (and also Nasri, Eboue, Bendtner, Vela, etc). Let's not comparing him to other players. We are assembling a new team with the mixture of experience and youth; something that the fans are looking forward to. This is the best AW has done for us as of now (although many will argue that he could do better - which I agree too, but we cannot turn back the time). Let's just focus on the current team, give them full support and discuss about them only |

I think Frimpong is doing alright, maybe just too inexperience in deciding what is the right time to do the right thing.
He has the potential to be the "bad guy" shielding our back 4. But I agree that he's still raw. Yet, the potential is there. For those who didn't know, he's the most active gunners in twitter |

QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Sep 13 2011, 08:03 PM) i guess nonit win ugly la gua I'm looking forward for a more convincing performance. Hope to see improved understanding among the players.our squad is not that bad also right now even got injuries, we still got good players to cover thats what has been missin all the while Meanwhile, I fail to find the reason for Walcott bashing :S He was poor during Swansea, no doubt about that. However, 1 game cannot judge his worth, right? Of course, with more alternatives on the flanks such as Arshavin, Rosicky, Gervinho, Park, Ox; we can afford to rotate. Out of these, the best combination of flank players should be Arshavin-Gervinho. It's AW's call. Another interesting fact is that AW is banned, wondering if he will do anything naughty Hope Pat Rice can handle the match, not bad to get a chance handling a ECL match before retirement |
