Evening everybody Just double checking,has the N45 really been EOL-ed? Its not in the new brochure.. notebooks in KK arent really that "up to date". Takes forever for new models to reach.Any N45 users who can confirm that the 218 BIOS has fixed the throttling issue? Have read previous posts,seems like its gone. How bout the N55? Any complaints? Tempted to just get the old batch..

I see,thanks for the heads up. According to the salesperson at the store ASUS recalled the old batch of N45s (from this particular store), and those currently sitting there are the new ones,supposedly fixed, don't know how true is that. Anybody having heat issues? Gathered from previous posts the left side heats up, both for the N45/55. True?

How about casual usage ie. movies,internet,songs,Word etc? Is it recommended to remove the battery then? Or only during heavy loading?

Haha losing work due to a power outage would be....cannot describe hehe touch wood..Would be using AC most of the time. But also don't want the battery to die too quickly. Not really knowledgeable in this area,any sifus can give some advice? Oh,seen some posts where some bought a bigger power brick,more juice.Is it advisable to do so? lappy goreng.... crispy and glossy. PS,this will sound weird,but how often are power outages in KL? Finally got the N45 going to do a reformat now. wondering all the sifus what bloatware did you remove? anything that i should not uninstall?

Reformat went without problems,touch wood so far. now reinstalling drivers. erm this will sound weird,but my disc drive makes a printer sound,like an old bubble jet. should i be worried? but it reads fine,just the weird printing noise...

oo ok. i see. everything done no problems,flashed bios etc. significant boot time decrease after format, had over 100 processes running from factory,asus really cram the lappy with lots of bloatware...obese lappy going to try running games later and see what happens then can confirm from another n45 user the 218 bios is good fingers crossed
