i was over look the laptop spec and forgotten to check the lcd type. A bit dissapointed when got it home and realized it isn't glossy (becuz i do photoshop sometime, so color accuracy is important).

the lcd color is more to purple/blue-ish.. n caused eyes discomfort. But after i adjust the contrast and gamma, the colors look more accurate and better for eyes. smile.gif smile.gif

my settings: graphic properties -> color enhancement
brightness 0
contrast 45
gamma 0.8

looks like u focked up when u uninstall the bloatwares like i did.theres no way u can undo it.
The good news is the recovery partition is still there and if u really want to burn the recovery DVD WITH the bloatwares u can boot up the recovery partition using Hirens Boot CD.

I was actually in the process of burning recovery into DVD without battery attached. Then what happened was my house electric tripped and so my laptop got turn off. I restarted and thinking to redo again but not allowed anymore and show me Recovery Partition does not exist.

Hey guys, so I finally got around to doing the backup to DVDs for the 2nd time.

If you can recall, the first time around I only had to use 4 DVDs, and everyone else in this forum used 5.

Today, I did it again.....I still only had to use 4 DVDs. So what do I make of it??? I don't think I did it wrong the first time around. (message box did come out at the end "Successfully...")
*
how do u do it for second time?

mine first time failed and never able to do it again.

Yup I'm the one from NZ.

Oh really??? Yeah that's what I was thinking too...that perhaps mine were different to everyone else's in here. Because when I started up the backup, it says prepare 4 writeable DVDs just above the drop down bar where you select your DVD-Rom.
There should be an icon on the desktop that says "AI Recovery". Otherwise you go to Control Panel > System and Security > Backup and Restore. Then you back it up to disc/DVD. Hope that helps.

AI recovery say "Recovery Partition does not exist"

Hi. I just bought this laptop for RM2699 with 8gb ram and no freeebies for i5. Is it worth it ?

I'm doing backup for the laptop now. Is it me or its very slow in burning the DVD. As after 40 min im still in disc one .

2699 ok la..

i bought mine , cash, 8gb, freebies = 2700, but then none freebies are useful lol

ALL IT quoted, 2680, 8gb, no freebies, cash.

Added on September 28, 2011, 11:06 pmAnyway, can we share the backup recovery dvd? since i'm unable to do backup.

anyone knows how to reduce the brightness? the max brightness is usually too bright. How do i recalibrate it?

try this

graphic properties -> color enhancement
brightness 0
contrast 45
gamma 0.8

then use atk to lower the brightness.
