Have anyone tried reporting current problem to this technical inquiry form after updated Bios version 217, instead of just reporting to Asus Malaysia fan page?

http://vip.asus.com/eservice/techserv.aspx

Worth trying?
*
Yes I tried but they assume you do know anything about computer and give you some stupid answers like update your driver or bios but when I showed them the graph they did not answer me anymore.

My old Acer on 24/7 for few weeks. Then shutdown and let it rest for a day.Repeats the cycle.Using only direct current (power adapter).Survived 4 years.Gone case few weeks back and replaced with N55SF.Suspect hard disk failure coz i always use it as a download rig

waa,so tough one! blink.gif

hard disk failure bcoz of downloading only after four years?!! shocking.gif

hi guys. just got myself a N55SF and did a reformat and clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate. Few questions from a n00b here:

1) I've reinstalled Intel HD graphics (d/l from Intel website) and latest 285.27 nvidia beta notebook drivers. how do i know that optimus is working as it should be? there is no indication at all....just a intel HD graphic and Nvidia settings icon in the taskbar.

2) where can i get the Asus E-Driver utility? i can't seem to find it in the asus download page.

3) how do i install the Intel Management Engine Interface driver?

cheers.

1. The nVidia control panel, on the menu bar, should have option to show indicator on tray icon..
2. The disc driver given by Asus ?

Powerful enough..
The N55SF with Core i5 will have bigger workspace since it has 1600x900 matte screen..

2) the recovery disc is for restore the Windows. You don't really need the e-driver utility though, can just install the driver yourself..
