 any solution?, shaping vs growing in size

guys, i had drank protein for 2 month... but seem my body is undergo shaping but not growing in size... i do low rep and 1 hour in gym for 3-4 times per week... and the food i try my best to eat asap... then a guy today in gym told me i have to grow in size first which chinese say 生肉 then onli do shaping... but how to grow in size... he say he drank the mutant mass... wat is ur opinion guys?
