QUOTE(Aaron135LC @ Sep 19 2011, 09:18 PM) no problem wan la smoke come out.. actually...its not preferable to wash ur car right after the drive...when u splash water to the disc brake...it will cause the disc brake to dent...according to my foreman...then..u might need to skim ur disc brake...mayb this time u ride straight road very long leh..? then u seldom brake.. or u ride slow.. brake little bit also wont so hot wan.. and smoke coming out definitely is normal case.. if got smoke it proves ur disc brake is normal.. overall..it will be best if u let ur car to "cool down" before washing... well..thats juz my 2 cents... QUOTE(Aaron135LC @ Sep 19 2011, 09:40 PM) i also dunno about this.. sometimes right.. changing a new tyre is the best choice if u wan to have a safe ride....it depends on the person doing ur car.. safety level is 50% thread usage need to change new one.. correct me if i wrong.. but as far as i know.. those sports car need to do that.. even mpv also need.. the place i went for my sis wan window tinting place.. is also a rim shop for luxury brand of car.. i saw so many sets of 50% thread used tires there.. i see still so new.. already change.. additionally, changing a new tyre will help especially if u are prone to travel during raining time... |

QUOTE(mukhlisz @ Sep 21 2011, 02:01 PM) hi guys, Nice rims u have there..i also planning to change soon...i'm thinking of getting these new 14" rims for my car. i'm not a speed junkie or anything so it's mostly for cosmetic purpose. Is Rm600 for 4 pieces considered a good deal? Please share your thoughts. Thanks! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(Area51SE @ Sep 21 2011, 02:59 PM) Thanks Bro for the advice, Any idea how long would it take to cool down then I'll be able to wash the car?? not really sure..bt...u can touch ur hood to agak agak the temperature..when u think its not so hot..u can wash..or splash water to the disc brake last...No idea if it's a good deal but for that Rim... What colour is your Myvi? If it's white, I think it will suit it really well |

Added on October 7, 2011, 12:22 amand btw...i saw the new lagi power 1.5 extreme in the perodua showroom at puchong, beside IOI Boulevard...is the grill part made of carbon fibre or its juz sticker? QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Oct 11 2011, 04:50 PM) New LB Myvi comes stock with CC5 tyres? very agree with MyWifeCarHow is it? Really comfort and quiet? Last time, P2 give NCT5 only... after 75% usage, everybody sing along~ the tyre really tak boleh pakai punya...if use more than 75%..confirm skid during raining time.. |

QUOTE(IceFlame21 @ Oct 12 2011, 01:00 AM) @Area51SE - serious ah? bigger rim. I think for the old myvi's (not the LB) the most can fit 17inch gua. but..when u install bigger rim..u need to consider the weight ady...the bigger the rim..the heavier it is...Hmm, I think with the help of the bars. I think enough to hug guaa. |

QUOTE(Aaron135LC @ Oct 24 2011, 10:24 PM) oh ya.. if change all the handling components in myvi.. the car will gain a lot of aded weight or not that much until the driver can feel the difference..? QUOTE(Area51SE @ Oct 24 2011, 10:25 PM) Rim and Suspensions....I think Yes...maybe you could ask those that modified it, Maybe you can get an accurate info yah..agreed...i think the most accurate info will come from Myvians who already mod...No idea if can feel the difference but definitely the weight would be increased and also fuel consumption would be higher bt..i think it sure will deliver better handling rather than stock settings... especially when u change ur rim...if bigger size, it definitely will affect ur FC |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « yes...preferable to add in COOLANT rather than tap water... If you found rust in the disc brake, its normal.. most of the car with disc brake will have dat situation..so no worries... btw...you can always take ur car to those car wash to wash the engine bay... make sure they cover the important part before washing..such as the alternator and the battery terminal... |
