QUOTE(ikiey @ Nov 9 2011, 10:16 AM)
Actually Bro, struts and all these bar's main function are actually to make the car more rigid.... All modern cars are actually intentionally engineered to be not so rigid, as these tolerance to bending and flexing that actually made the car more comfortable when going on uneven road/surfaces... This kind of tolerence towards bending and flexing actually leads to a plusher ride but to the expense of precision in handling department because the suspension geometry is not maintain while the body/chassis flexes...

Thats when these strut bars come in to help the factory chassis to avoid/reduced chassis flex while in extreme forces come in e.g hard cornering, braking etc...

These struts and bracing will improves alot on cars such as myvi, because the chassis is engineered for comfort and chassis flex is engineered into it. In the other hand, cars such as Honda Type R (fd2r), the original chassis is double welded to increases it's rigidity compared with the ordinary civic (fd2) and thus even if u put alot of struts and chassis bracing into these kind of cars, the improvements are not that significant if compared with putting into myvi. Because the performance oriented car's chassis are already rigid enough.

for myvi wad r the most important bars to install? low budget so cnt afford full set ><

QUOTE(ikiey @ Nov 9 2011, 11:28 AM)
Bro, that's because of the vacuum inside the car... New myvi's NVH is better than the old 1, so need extra effort to shut it properly.. Bt, if u just wind-down the window a bit, it'll be alot easier to shut... Give it a try... Try shutting the door while all doors are close and compare it while 1 of the doors are open or just open a bit...

Added on November 9, 2011, 11:29 am
That 1 dunno true or not... Maybe just to clear year end stock.. Bcus most buyer will wait Jan so that the car's reg date is on the new year

Added on November 9, 2011, 11:31 am

Strut bar is quite cheap compared with the others... Rm120 can get... Next maybe rear anti roll bar around rm260-330 depending on thickness... Me also still waiting next month to install rear ARB... or if over budget that time, struts only biggrin.gif

for ARb isit da thicker the bestter? @@

Not really true Bro... So thick rear ARB, if u go crazy speed into corner, will go tripod mode because front still stock thickness and relatively soft compared with rear... If only 3 tires with contact, must mean less grip rite..?? This theory only, but thicker not always better. Depends on your expectation actually..
*
ooh ic~ so if i chnged my front strut bar to UR thn hw much thickness u suggest for rear ARB@@

QUOTE(xandras @ Nov 9 2011, 11:51 PM)
I'm just sharing this here as I thought it'll be appropriate if I apologize here, sincerely from the bottom of my heart.

Just now a pre-facelift (2006) white non-SE Myvi no. plate BJW (dun remember number) with yellow HID foglamps, black hood and black boot handle, stock front and rear bumper with sport rims driven by a malay guy with ponytail and piercings on his right lip and ear (if I remembered correctly) chased me near the stretch in front of Wangsa Maju LRT station.

It all happened like this:

I was rushing to my friend's house at Section 2 cos got some important stuff, so I cut the queue to turn in front at the TARC cross junction towards Wangsa Maju. As the the traffic light turned green, I was turning in and I slowed down to let a Honda Accord in front turn in first. Then when I was about to turn in this Myvi suddenly accelerate & turn in, almost hitting my PE. Nevermind, I thought. And as I was still rushing, I was quite erratic and overtook that Myvi before cutting in front of him. At the straights he couldn't quite catch up with me (probably it's a Myvi 1.0, not too sure either). Then there's traffic in front of me and I slowed down, he catched up. Then started winding down window & waving a silver bat. At the cross junction at Section 2, there was traffic in front of me, and he overtook me from the inside & emergency braked, blocking my car and then got down from his car with his bat. I was really in no mood for a fight, and I knew it was my fault for cutting queue, but that's about it.

So I reversed, turned out from that block and turned into my friend's housing area. Lost him for a while there, then went fetch my friend. As we came out from the junction, we saw him waiting there. He then blocked again and got down again. I wind down the window, said that I'm sorry cos I'm in a bit of a rush, and he asked me to get down from the car. Obviously picking a fight with me. I see the small gap in front of his car, turned towards that gap and accelerated out of Section 2. He got into his car and wanted to chase, but I wagged him off my tail by turning into some junctions in the area.

The fault is mine, I know. But this is really a very important matter that I had to rush. Life and death.

So if the White Myvi driver is here reading this, you have my sincerest apologies. I did not meant to offend you in any possible way. If possible, let's meet up, drinks on me.

Again, sorry for intruding, and hope you guys understand my motive of posting here today.
*
it's kinda ur fault bt he don't have to do things like dis i guess == this happens evryday and a sorry shld be more thn enuf as long as din knocked his car( if knocked then is another case lol) btw dun hv to keep dis in heart smile.gif
