Tweaking will make the CPU faster. However, it's not necessary to perform this as the CM rom is already tweaked to optimal performance.

v.1.6 Hotfix 2 released yesterday.

I think v1.6 hf4 has some bugs. Yesterday using it was fine. But today, I can't scan nor connect to my wifi.

I've reverted back to v.1.6 hf2 which is working fine.

If you've backed up previous version with CWM, just restore.

If not, yes, same as upgrade to a new version (because you're actually downgrading your hotifx) .
- install v.1.6 , hotfix2 (or whichever hotfix you like ) and then gapps.

Try flashing to v.1.6 hotfix2 or wipe dalvik-cache with CWM.

Use S2E.

this hotfix is stable, wifi working well.

G5 is now supported in Rom Manager. Update to version 5.0.2.6 using Rom Manager > Check for ROM Updates.....follow the instructions there.

Go to > rom manager > download rom > select ---> psyke83 > cyanogenmod 7.1.0

I'm on v1.7 now. So far no issues. Btw, curioso9, what issue did you encountered?

Comparing both versions, v.1.6+hotfix5 test2 <> v.1.7, it's almost the same for me. Both are stabled.

Wipe dalvik-cache. This should solve it.

For those who doesn't want to, or feel uncomfortable flashing this new version via the new CWM/Rom Manager, you can download the file here :

Flash/install it as usual, i.e. install v.1.7 follow by gapps. It is recommended to wipe dalvik-cache to prevent problems.

NOTE : I'm on this v.1.7 since yesterday and the wifi signal is extremely strong. It's stable, fast and responsive too.

It is recommended to back-up your current rom first with CWM, just in case you don't like it or if there is any problem, you can always restore back.

v.1.7 is to be updated/flashed with CWM as now our G5 is supported in Rom Manager.
You have to go to Rom Manager to install the new rom.

Before that, you need to update your Rom Manager to version 4.7.0.5 and ClockWorkMod Recovery to version 5.0.2.6 using Rom Manager.

For hotfix5-test2, I've also provided the link there.

You have to open Rom Manager and you'll see the options there.

Yes, you can and vice-versa.

Use S2E (follow the guides for installations & settings in Psyke's 1st/2nd posts). S2E is much more
advanced and better compare to Link2sd.

If you use Link2sd, you'll need to re-link your apps to Link2sd every time you upgrade to newer
CM roms versions.

Everything's working fine except just sometimes have split screen for a few secs in the beginning when playing games. After that, everything will be normal. Not an issue, really.

Yes, you can. Just download and flash/instal as usual (like last time).

YES, you MUST WIPE DALVIK CACHE or else you'll go into bootloop. As for battery stats, it's optional.
