@ Agito:

Yeah, I initially wanted to give him rougher stubble, but the original owner of the character wants him to look "pretty", so yeah, had to make it finer than usual, haha biggrin.gif

That is just epic, mclelun! The angle for the rear building look a bit off. But I guess it just shows more 'craziness' in the art. Awesome! biggrin.gif

ya it is but i prefer use curvy line to show that... like fish eye angle

pretty much like what agito said, i try to do fish eye lens, but i guess it doesnt really work correctly.

But I will just use a excuse that I never really learn proper drawing method, u know, all this horizon line thing.  tongue.gif

hmm basically for me is

you draw a cross in center, then draw circles to according there.... then use that as guide tongue.gif

I sketch this artwork around 2 weeks ago after I dream about it. I am not joking , I really dream about an artwork.
then most of the tracing and coloring was done last weekend. so, i say it is probably around 2 to 3 days.

yes, I am really colorblind, traffic light green i see as white, some green color on crayon i see as human skin color. blue , purple is very similar to me... etc
*
no wonder you work as programmer... you are the 4th colourblind person i known tongue.gif

beside my dad, the other 2 are actually can draw well also... tongue.gif

some little noob thing i share for someone in fb... actually she draw a lion with "long" facial hair... it looks like a long fur dog instead of lion... i share here just show the difference of the stroke haha... not really good example but should be sufficient enough for differences.

This one hor...I realize that if I see through my phone lens (our awesome egg brows.gif) I always can spot a lot of difference. I dunno why >.< Maybe my eyes not sensitive enough? hmm.gif
I'll try to improve on the strokes. I'm starting to like these strokes ady, initially I prefer smooth strokes, like blending them with the blending stump, but I think this technique ain't bad at all  biggrin.gif
The reference, I'll upload it soon. Actually for the eyes, from what I see, I think the eyes are like that, because that real dark shading there is also present in the reference. I'm quite busy at the moment, I just came back from KL actually, had an interview there (I had to skip todays figure studies class T_T), so I have to catch back up >.<

Okay thanks for the sharing thumbup.gif
Actually I have this problem in drawing the straight lines like you said. Even my lecturer also ask to use straight lines first to get the overall structure of the face. But I keep doing curves!!  mad.gif

About the highlight, do I actually preserve that area from the beginning itself? Or also shade it all, then in the end use the eraser to lighten it up?
*
sense also need to train one, no one can use kame kame ha for first hour training. whistling.gif

straight line? also need to train, just not perfect straight line we can do with free hand. if you can do that , congratulation. rclxms.gif

i was wondering how agito do lots of that blur effect..

is it separate all the image that need to be blur in 1 layer and blur it all

i always keep everything in different layers and rarely combine it into 1 layer.
so its hard to do that kind of blur effect ..

or is it possible to do that effect on 1 layer (blur layer) without touching other layer

just wondering ...
*
wut blur layer? unsure.gif
which one

kinda good

but still,
not a profitable field.

yeah I better do something else asap.

that is hobbist level of commission (in that case, looks more like in-between), charges of course can't be high unless you are really well known/ pro or you do for commercial stuff that involve using your work for commercial.
