EPL supporters think La Liga viewers are watching from a La Liga tinted glass, and the vice versa. Well guess what, duh! If i watch EPL more than La Liga, obviously i have more knowledge about EPL and thus can argue more strongly for EPL. at least i know i will be having this tinted glass
It's always a cycle in my opinion. in the mid 2000s, theres a fear that the gap between top 4 in England is getting bigger and bigger, coz of the spending power. It used to be that same 4 teams at the top in the first half of 2000s, only until recently Spurs and City are challenging into the bracket. and by 2009 & 2010 only the event of a minnow team can beating the top team is more common. When i was watching Man utd in 2006-2007, i can see a fixture and say "hah! a win in a hand". Not the case now though.
I think the same thing happens now, only now its 2 teams at the top of La Liga and nobody seems to be able to stop them. Who knows what might happen? Valencia gets an injection from some new owner? Malaga's owner splash cash as well? Some genius manager took over Real Betis and ressurect them from the depth and challenge at least for Europa spot? (yes back when the ever-so-selfish Denilson is with them).
Regardless, there wont be a right or wrong answer. Discuss all you want, both sides will be biased. Ive been in such discussion before, this is not the first and definitely wont be the last.
PS: If you really wanna watch competitive league, go watch Bundesliga. The winner can be a team that doesnt even qualify for UCL the previous season, and the 2nd and 3rd in 2009-2010 end up as 13th & 14th in 2010-2011
