QUOTE(barca96 @ Aug 29 2011, 02:15 PM)
Looks like JDs is getting the nod over Bartra at RB.
I prefer Bartra there.

What time do Muslims usually start going to the mosque on Raya day?
I go every year but somehow forgets.
The match is at 5 here in Queensland, Aus and it's supposed to end at 7am.
Hopefully praying only starts after that...
*
8 am but usually the pray start approximately at 8:30 am but i don't know if this applicable to Australia or not.

well, u always can heard this kind of comment from the bpl fans, defenders in la liga are slow, soft in tackle, not physical..worst is barca cant win against stoke city..LOL

still, last night, our defense is not much tested by osasuna, next game shall be a real test to it.
*
that's ridiculous, just because they're impossible to face each other people like to make stuff. They're struggling against Dynamo Kiev in Europa League, and i'm sure will be easily destroyed by Barcelona.

By the looks of La Liga table right now.. after four matches i don't see any two horses race. What i see is 6 - 7 teams battling for no.1 spot.

....and i must admit, after 5 matches in BPL, it looks like it's gonna be 2 horses race between MU and MC. Both of them are steamrolling their opposition each week.

Pinto = bad shot stopper. Though his style suited to Barcelona passing game, he's not a good GK.

Is this really Valencia that people used to know? Battered from start to finish, very one sided. Not good momentum before welcoming Stoke City round 2.

From many source, usually liver transplant is the last resort. His doctor probably have explored other options in the last 12 months but eventually this is the best option for him. Very strong character, play through pain and travel with the squad.

Great free kick, but i prefer if the freekick taker choose to beat the wall instead of evade them, like the good old days. Xavi and Messi can beat the wall. But a goal still a goal.

I think the pitch at San Siro... was intentional. No excuse they can't maintain near perfect pitch for this match, this is not some obscure ground. Against Arsenal months ago, there might be legit excuse (freezing temperature few days before the match) but today, just no.

Frank Leboeuf about the San Siro pitch:
QUOTE
That pitch was a disgrace. The ball was bouncing like crazy, players slipping... there is so much money at stake, people watching on their TV, and to have a spectacle of those two teams playing against one another on a horrible pitch is ridiculous and I was really angry.

Taken from today soccernet chat. So you guys are not alone. Actually, nothing wrong to feel angry or disappointed with the pitch conditiom. Put the clubs behind, everybody want to see football match on proper pitch.

Nesta should've known better, he's very experienced defender. Pull your opponent shirt in plain sight for quite some time. No conspiracy theory so far. Both are legit penalty.

Maxi Lopez, still remember this player. Former Barca player, scored couple of times.

lol, seems ur barca got alot of standard. full of dives and referee's favor  rclxms.gif well done.

this has been widely known. no need to hide.  laugh.gif

But yesterday, both penalty were legit call. I used to dislike Barca too; Fabregas, RVP red-card, but that's another story. I conclude they're just too good, the big multiple CL champions and Serie A champion could only muster 3 shots for the whole 90 minutes. Give them some credit for able to keep Milan at bay.

This is similar with MAN U achievement, whenever a club become so successful they're magnet for hate and dislike. It's like tall poppy syndrome.

Usual Barca trend. One shot on target, conceded. But they always found way back.

Wasteful Barca. Nou Camp will be different atmosphere, but based on the match just now Chelsea should have little problem to emulate Inter Milan defensive display. Barca couldn't break through from the middle, not even space for cutback. Possess little threat from corner because the ball were aimed for Puyol explicitly.

Barca seems has lost little bit spark. Xavi doesn't look 100% fit, maybe his age. Fabregas losing his early season form, Pedro doesn't look like the player that he used to be, Pique injury, Mascherano is not a central back, Guardiola 3-4-3 being too open at the back; not enough discipline by wingers to track back (i think this is purely tactical, look how far Dani Alves stay). Messi look little bit sluggish (?) because he play deep due to Xavi not fully fit / absence. Not enough penetration, David Villa can make a difference here but he suffered from broken leg which is a shame. It's noticeable (drop of form) because Barca is / was at the top for so long.

i think pep should have not play tello. maybe cesc will be better sweat.gif

Cesc position at Barca is totally different than the one he used to play at Arsenal. I guess it's better for Pep to put him in the centre. Xavi is 32, might lost his golden touch soon.

Tello is too young and inexperienced. Can't blame him 100%. I think Barca still can do well but they need another goal scoring player similar to David Villa.
