QUOTE(pokwang @ Apr 27 2012, 10:06 PM) Lead to what goal? You mean the Real penalty that that Ronaldo scored in the 6th minute? Yes, they didn't park the bus for the first 5 minutes. Neither did Chelsea. So what's your point? Bayern lead Real for 5 minutes, then went behind, then finally level at 2-1 into penalties. So, beside the first 5 minutes (which Real were actually on top), what other points in the match that Bayern were LEADING? Do you actually know what parking the bus means? Or do you just throw it around because it sounds fancy? Parking the bus IS NOT the the same as playing defensive. Chelsea played defensive counter attack because its the only way to score against Barcelona. No team in the world can match the midfield possession of Barca's tiki-taka, not Real, not Bayern and not certainly Chelsea. Chelsea played classic 4-5-1/4-3-3 against Barca but flattened to the max due to the midfield pressure of tiki-taka. Only in the second half of the second leg did Chelsea played something like 6-3-0 (A.K.A Parking The Bus) when they were LEADING on away goal AND a man down AND without 2 first-choice center-back. You're confusing defensive counter-attacking with Parking The Bus. so u are saying that chelsea dont park the bus rite in the first minute? come on man, we all know chelsea park the bus right in the first leg. they park the bus and they won. even though i dont like it, but a win is still a win. chelsea are in the final and not barca, and you cant avoid the fact that chelsea Park The Bus in both leg. QUOTE(barca96 @ Apr 28 2012, 01:44 PM) They parked the bus from the first minute on both legs. i agree with you. After Terry was sent off, Chelsea had to score but they still didn't differ much. And after Iniesta scored, I thought they had to open up but there was hardly any need for that because Ramires scored in the injury time. Perhaps if Ramires had not scored, we would;ve seen Chelsea open up in the 2nd half. No idea about that. Never heard any on field dirty play from Terry before. but everybody got their own opinion. if u watch the recent el clasico, u will see the so called defensive counter attacking, its differ from how chelsea played in both leg. |

QUOTE(chris2k4 @ Apr 28 2012, 04:04 PM) maybe ur rite, as much as i hate chelsea tactic, it surely work against barca. so congratz to them QUOTE(Adryan @ Apr 28 2012, 06:33 PM) I would assume Chelsea started parking the bus when they got the first goal at Stamford Bridge and then again when they got the away goal at Nou Camp. the palyer are very tired. even JM blame the el-classico for his team losses. Like torres say, the best side not always win. Their aim was to probably minimise goals scored by Barcelona and they managed with some good blocks and help of the woodwork. Who knows what might have happened if Sanchez or Pedro had scored to make it 1-0 or 1-1 and then Messi 3-1 but they also capitalise on some very poor Barcelona defending. Hopefully we can bounce back and secure copa cup QUOTE(mrkenn @ Apr 28 2012, 07:15 PM) katnl, Obviously chelsea parked the bus from the very first minute. You can see 4-5-1 formation, 5 of the midfield staying behind to defend. Even the football pundits said so. 9 players stay to defend. agreed with you. |

QUOTE(myhotgary2 @ May 26 2012, 05:59 AM) is it just me or does messi looks disinterested lately... it seems like he has no responsibilities defensively..not chasing balls down.. closing down opposing plays.. he just stands around and wait for plays to come to him.. like sometimes when he loses possesion, or when team mates around him loses the ball, he does not react to get into positions to steal the ball/stop opponent's play.. this kinda pisses me off tbh.. am i the only one who sees it this way? Yup. i noticed it too. maybe it because we already 3 goal up This post has been edited by fwhoam: May 26 2012, 06:37 AM |
