Taste is subjective.
A poison is another man's meat. Why don't you go try both and decide for yourself. Treat it as a bubble tea tasting adventure of sort. |

Just did it out of curiosity. Guess bubble tea is not my cup of tea. gimme coke with a dab of whisky anytime. |

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Aug 29 2011, 08:03 AM) Speaking of poison, the contamination with the cancer-causing plastic additive diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) kow tim liao or 'malaysia muda lupa'? DEHP is used as the clouding agent used in powder flavourings and the 3 franchise ones use real tea ( you can see the tea canisters with the tap when they fill the cups ) as the base eg. red tea, black tea etc. Choose flavours that don't use powders like sour plum, jasmine tea, green tea etc and you are more assured. The new franchise has just started in Sungei Wang and it's called Taipei somethning, can't recall the full name. Later something will happen and dampens this trend as it usually happens once the fads get too popular. This post has been edited by etigge: Aug 29 2011, 08:39 AM |

Teh Tarik can kena diabetic wan..Cha time is Teh C and you can control the sugar level & even request them to use your own Equal sugar..so It's gooding & better than Teh Tarik for sure and equally good wth local Teh-C except they can cham wth cincau or pearl balls..
But abit pricey lor..unless everytime they come wth buy 1 free 1 ..which is also pretty frequent |

For Pearl milk tea, i have tried gong cha, ochado and chatime.
The tatse of milk tea chatime > gong cha > ochado (almost tasteless) Gong cha is famous of its signature drink and white pearl which those are not original pearl milk tea. Ochado origins from Sg. Their pudding milk tea was ok and azuki matcha milk tea is the best amOng others types of drink from ochado |

I found out their drinks and pearl are much tastier than Chatime or Gong Cha. Worth dropping by a visit to try |

Gong Cha very particular on special request wan. I went to the Garden branch & I asked for Kosong but asked them to add my "equal" sugar in it..The staff go and check wth lady boss and that manager gave me a lecture on this so called "Mosanto poison" darmit.. Ngeh-ngeh dun wan to add untill I told them Chatime dun do this to me an willingly to accept my special request...darn man...
Bcos of this, I voted on chatime rather than the LCLY Gongcha |

That's another reason why they dunwan to add the equal for me lor in additon to what she think I' adding poison to Gongcha sigh... Sked me complaining Gongcha quality no good if I add that poison or even sue me when I kena food poisoning darm...
It was my last there.. taste wise, Gongcha probably slightly better but very marginal, but their attitude esp the Garden branch...no comment man |

I like Chatime and Ding Tea for the variety of milk tea they have and most are delicious,
For Chatime I usually get honey aloe lemon or something like this, strawberry pudding aulait, mango smoothie. GongCha is quite okay but I think their best flavour is pearl milk tea. And I like Ochado for their pearl but their honey aloe something tasted like medicine! I guess it depends what flavour you want to drink This post has been edited by Eve90: Jun 5 2012, 11:35 PM |

Tried both and reallly liked both. Gongcha is for the days when you chill with family/girlfriend. More of elegence compared to the Chatime's casual feeling. Chatime suits better to be around with friends.
Used to be very addicted to both, but now I quit and drink plain water. |
