Actually, it is RM900 shipped for the non-OC version.
Not sure how much for OC version.

You have to ask the ebay sellers with 'make offer' to tell you how much. Otherwise you'd be paying the list price.
*
actually it is RM900 for randomly chosen stock (OC or not, depends on the model number, older 2B model can OC while newer 2C model cant)
I think it is possible to request the seller to find 2B model for u at extra charges $$$ brows.gif

@ktek, my gtx 295 got 2 DVI port..planning to use 2 screen in horizontal position. but dunno how to set the setting in nvidia driver and windows to expand the desktop to the second screen.
i cannot expand the start menu and taskbar to the second screen. i only can duplicate and gives me 2 identical screen display when playing games..any idea how to expand it? or is the GFX card not support?

try display fusion

Dell U2711, i think its around rm2.3k depending on the resellers. I dont think there's any other alternative that can beat u2711 in the price:performance ratio department. Some might suggest you to go for a much cheaper Korean brand 27" 2560 x 1900, but you're taking a big risk there. The construction of the body, the warranty, the color reproduction, height adjustment etc ect.

And hey, Dell has the best after-sales warranty service by far.

Yeah, it seems that a lot of forumers are recommending dell monitors (ultrasharp line-up) and pretty much nothing else and you might get bored hearing Dell monitors, but thats simply because its the better option out there.
*
the matte screen on Dell monitor sucks to the max
the much cheaper korean brand 27" S-IPS 2560x1440 has glossy screen
it does has 1 year warranty, considering it is just 1/3 of Dell 2711 price

somemore it can overclock to 100hz++

Im not sure about you, but those professionals, they'll opt matte screen instead of glossy anytime of the day.
S-IPS = 16million colors, H-IPS = 1billion colors.
Dell comes with standard 3 / 5 years warranty.

High refresh rate only good if you're gaming nuts. It's like the latest controversy of the upcoming The Hobbit movie which will be clocked at 48fps. Movies junkie wont llike high fps because its too fake.
*
I have u2312hm with matte anti glare, it makes the grainy rainbow sand effect which is really bad
the white is not white at all, its mixture of grainy rainbow colors
not only white, others color also affected with the rainbow effect
when i place both u2312hm ips and korean ips side by side, i can see how sucks the u2312hm is (maybe becoz it is e-ips VS s-ips)
I am not sure how well the u2711 color reproduction is, but i am sure it will definitely spoiled by the stupid matte screen.
Maybe you are true, those professionals prefer matte screen. Then why apple monitor use glossy screen?

glossy screen is a no no unless u work in a dark place.. reflection on the screen will strain ur eyes like mad cow..

my ceiling light is behind, on top of me
i dont feel reflection most of the time, except on black background (which is usually in movies or games only)

Speaking of Korean monitors, I wonder if you noticed the ISP in 881118's siggy. tongue.gif Anyway, here's a good answer to that...And I don't like glossy screens too. The reflections can be highly distracting. It doesn't have to be overhead lights, any onject in the victinity that reflects or emits light will show up on the glossy surface. If you play games that have dark and/or nocturnal environments (e.g. at night, in a dark cavern, unlit hallways, etc) then the reflections will be more significant (ie. annoying). wink.gif

ya those korean WQHD monitor is getting more popular and cheaper now adays
but overclockable version is not produced anymore
there are only limited stocks left

there are clear type vs matte type
go take ur friends smartphone and compare
the matte type will give u little grainy dots that consisted of different color (i call it rainbow colors)

Well, it seems the debate for glossy screen and matte screen has gone quite hot in here?
My comments, glossy screen sucks to the max, why?
I have a Samsung 2333SW, matte. A Laptop, Dell Studio 1555 and it's glossy, to be frank glossy are the worst screen not just because it's mirror, but the backlight bleed got reflected on the screen and it's like bright on the bottom or top (or side way depends on the light bleed), if you work in dark screen, you'll hate glossy screen. Movie watching? you probably need to adjust either your head or the screen to a very good position, otherwise the backlight bleed is totally annoying.
Matte screen however is prone to the glow, it happen to every matte screen, not just the so called "IPS glow", it's purple-ish if you turn your head severely side-way, or look at ~45 degree angle, and depends on model (probably the matte material) it can either on the blue-ish side or yellow-ish.
But if you have bright full screen on both type of screen then those matter does not matter but under very bright room (i.e. incandescent light bulb) then you'll see the reflection of the light source clearer at glossy screen than matte screen.
So, professional screen still uses the matte screen and those explained all. Apple Cinema... well... I'm not sure why they uses the glossy though.
*
my glossy screen does not has the same issue as yours
only minor blacklight bleed, which is exist in almost all monitor

and i am not sure it is a good example to compare a laptop screen to a monitor screen?
maybe u should try apple cinema 1st

It's just a bit of blur , that's all.but how does a raindow affect happen ? as to compare with glossy screen ?
Btw , who say cannot be overclock ?
http://wondercsabo.szunyi.com/PH/U2312_50_72.inf
but he didn't mention about dust or dirt.
Using wet cloth , I think it's the same with glossy panel.Try wiping on ipad , it'll also produce some raindows effect ? Any picture showing those rainbow effect ?

I plan to buy an LCD not after I heard about it starting to get worry on Dell quality. sad.gif
*
i didnt mentioned any rainbow effect, or dust and dirt, or wiping water on screen
what i am saying is matte screen (u2312hm) has little grainy dots (random colors)
while glossy screen do not
maybe it is not obvious to u guys, but when i place both matte and glossy side by side, the difference is very big

u can compare smartphone screen protector matte type vs clear type, i think it is a good example

for dual monitor setup
try display fusion or actual monitor software
i am not sure it can achieve what u want (screen saver on 2nd monitor)
but it is very useful program, it can make 2nd taskbar on 2nd monitor, different wallpaper for different monitor and much more useful stuffs

LG DM92 finally launch in korea, maybe soon reaching malaysia

it is a very sleek design monitor

but 2 drawbacks
- 1080p only
- very thin bezel (almost none), but not really borderless (got black gap) as advertised
