Liverpool are preparing a last ditch £15m offer for Manchester City winger Adam Johnson in a deal that is likely to be accepted by Roberto Mancini.

Whilst Mancini would very much like to keep hold of Johnson he is aware that the England international is after first team football and with the likes of Silva and now Samir Nasri able to play his preferred positions the 24 year old is keen on a move.

Although Liverpool have already invested heavily this summer they believe one more winger could prove fruitful especially with Johnson able to play both right and left. Although Kuyt is primarily used on the right the Anfield club are prepared to push the Dutchman further forward to make room for Johnson.

What did Liverpool do wrong?

It isn't just one way traffic I assure you. I myself can't stand him constantly blaming the ref for our defeat while at the same time ignoring the fact that Spurs were brilliant. It's like King Kenny said, credit needs to be given to them for taking the game to us. Claiming that the match was fixed and all isn't any better and I'd much rather we own up and admit that we were poor on that day than find excuses, especially ones with no shred of evidence. We may as well blame the grass for being too long  then. We were poor and people should deal with it instead of being in denial.

I hope King will prove us wrong , seriously I am not happy with the line up , but lets hope all the best for our team YNWA
