QUOTE(carloz28 @ Sep 1 2011, 01:46 PM) If the allegations are true, certainly he has every right to be pissed knowing that the likes of Henderson is paid more than him. C'mmon let's not kid ourselves. The reason why Meireles move is solely monetary in nature. The same applies with Nasri. Do you seriously think Meireles will get regular football in Chelsea? Do you think Nasri really wanted to join Man City to have a greater chance to win trophies? I don't think so. May be one of the reason but not "THE" reason. It's always about the money. Afterall, a footballers lifespan is like 10-12 years at most and only 5 years to make it or break it in terms of money. |

Bill Shankly famous quote "'Sickness would not have kept me away from this one. If I'd been dead, I would have had them bring the casket to the ground, prop it up in the stands, and cut a hole in the lid." - after beating Everton in the 1971 FA Cup semi-final.

Seriously I can't wait for our captain marvel to come back. I hope we can give Gerrard more license to roam and bomb forward. He's most devastating when booming forward from midfield. From which he can shoot long or send a 30 yard pass to the wingers. This will "pull" defenders away from the wings to mark him, which leaves downing and kuyt free to work the wings......ohhh....this is good....

I think the players all did very well, carra included. He was a bit unlucky and the whole team was a bit unlucky. On another day we could have won 3-1 easily. Don't pin the blame on carra. He was magnificent for us and he will continue to be.

Ref screwed Liverpool...again....
Half of the fouls are non bookable offence. Tottenham players to win Oscars...for play acting. |

I still feel the ref killed it for us. Maybe its something KD said to refs that did not sit well with them, hence the one-sided treatment. Granted, we were not as good as Tottenham on matchday, but to issue yellow's at his will is still not right. If that is so, I've spotted a dozen similar offence by Tottenham which went unpunished. Call it straight ref!
