I try to design an online bookstore index page alone but I still don't feel it looks like one. I don't know photoshop except html and css and that is why ALL images are not mine. It's a test page and I think as long as I don't use it in the production site, it's ok. The page is valid HTML 4.01 Transitional. I need more idea on how to get the look of an online bookstore?

yes. Photoshop. Images are the main reason for a website looks beautiful... *sigh*

I used to tell myself that it's the code and it's not about the image. That's a mistake. Images is as important as positioning. Thank you, for broadern my understanding in this field. I guess I have to start those lynda.com CS for web thingy.
