Arrahnu XChange in Bangsar baru is the best in term of :

i) Service
- used bare hand rather than steel to count gold weigh & purity.
ii) Location
- 2-3 lots from Maybank Bangsar Baru(House of Kijang Emas).

thank you mbj78, keii-kun dan Francesco Top8 for sharing.

Did you all attend any seminar b4? if yes, which one/s?

as a newbie, i'm attending 2 weeks from now organised by a rempit group.

basicly I only know simple techniques which are straight forward. actually i'm just curious to know how other techniques work.

i disagree with some people taking advantage by charging thousands RM just to learn a few techniques. I inquired once for personal coaching is 2K.

just to test one simple method, next week i may want to go to bank rakyat and ar-rahnu a gold bracelet. then with the cash i'll just top up into my gold account and wait till end of the year (around 4 months).

we'll see what happens by then  thumbup.gif
*
Just learn it online.
Not a fan of any gold/silver seminar by investment scheme/group, because i think they just want to sell their products.

The point is, u buy some recognized gold and pawn it. If u get lucky and the gold prizes increased, u gain. That`s all.
U must have a thick blood because there`s plenty of factors to considered.

If u committed for gold investment, just buy 995 or 999.
916 are more towards jewellery not investment nod.gif

aah, lelong? now where i cna find out d time and location for all those lelong golds? they publish it on newspaper like property auctions?
*
Sadly, most of the information about the lelong event artificially disclosed, a bit like close tender.
Even my friend, a bank officer in AgroBank doesn`t know about the lelong organized by his employer brows.gif

i sold all of mine @ 1916usd.. and go into stock market..

since stock market are in dip now.. so i choose to go in stock..

roller coaster for gold is dangerous.. i don't like.. hehee..

*
Good luck with your stocks too, because i have a feeling that QE3 are coming smile.gif

In current economy situation, everything is risky & unpredictable .
Who could expect Swiss Franc will be bold enough to be devalued ?

Let see which rollercoaster are dangerous, gold or stock whistling.gif

I was wondering.. What happens if a country default a payment?

Example if Greek cannot pays when the bond due? What can China do?
hmm.gif  hmm.gif
*
China probably don`t affected much with Greece`s default.
But, most banks in Europe(France & Germany) which hold Greece`s bond will hurts quite bad, and it will devalued EURO.

Gold, USD & other basket of currencies will gain icon_rolleyes.gif

Should make separate threads of "Is it time to BUY GOLD now", and "Is it time to SELL GOLD now". And let the technical analyses, sentiment talk and general discussion concentrate here.
*
Support this idea.
This thread has turned into petty talk rather than serious discussion.

later US market opened, maybe price will drop again...
US investors are selling their gold like crazy yesterday....
*
The main reason why gold decrease this week is because "Operation Twister".
The U.S and other huge central banks simply flood the market with easy liquidity of dollar.

The reason they do that because to sway market attention from Greece`s default issue.
Some say "Operation Twister" is another form of Quantitative Easing(QE).

Did "Operation Twister" have been implemented before ? (Between 2000-2011) icon_question.gif

While my long term goal is to accumulate precious metal, right now I need to speculate a bit to raise the capital required to buy more of them in future ler  biggrin.gif

Correct me if I'm wrong, for I'm just thinking my own thoughts here, but I'm kinda worried about the China factor coz it has everything to go for it if it pumps in capital to save europe:

1. The costs of bailing out europe is offset by lowered costs of gold (IF China is really accumulating gold as some speculated)
2. Europe does not goes into recession, which means demand for China goods does not drop

true or false???
*
I don`t think China too interested in EU.
Yes, they will buy some EU bonds because if they don`t salvage EU, China can`t market their goods there.

That Ichimoku guy comes here with a chart & technical explanation which is what this thread need.
And you come with thrash claim without any credible source.

This thread has become a joke and wastefull of time ever since u get in.

Main events for gold this week :
i) US jobs data(perhaps increase since Verizon employees start working)
ii) EU meeting (perhaps EU still want to cover-up Greece)

are the rumours still relevant?? the price seems qu blink.gif ite stable currently, its has been few days where the price is on the 1600++ blink.gif
*
I should say the price is stagnant because eventhough Moody downgradeds & ECB still keep the low interests, but the momentum have been distracted by increase jobs data in U.S.
Thus, fair game for gold this week.

Wait for next week, then.

i think nothing is sure in this world and even if that person tells you it's safe, will it really mean anything? no one knows in future what will happen...it might drop, the price might be stable flat...or it might rush up again...

wink.gif
*
Yes.
Gold used to regards as safe haven besides USD and Swiss Franc.

But suddenly investor regard it as a risky asset.
Perhaps due to very high allocation in ETF/paper gold.
In ETF investor can easily bought and sold the gold easily. Its like stock.
And as the nature of stock which is very volatile, the same goes to gold.

u mean u guys actually queue up at the banks to buy/sell gold ah? oh man!! Have u all calculate the productive time spent, petrol, parking, stress & most off all, cost of funds .....

and i believe not everybody wld dump RM20K into gold jst to earn that RM500

lastly, isnt RM7 /gm spread too expensive? I pay only USD0.50 spread to buy 1oz of gold... if I may calculate :

RM7 / 3 = USD2.33
USD2.33 x 28gm = USD65/oz

imagine i pay only USD0.50/oz (the banks too) and u guys pay USD65 spread...The banks wld laugh when u buy gold from them!!

Lastly, there is such a thing called leverage... to buy 1oz of gold, i dont need USD1740 ... only USD4 margin is needed....
....... trade smart.... invest smart.... dont let the banks laugh
*
The cheapest spread in Malaysia is RM2/gram by UOB.
Mind to share where u trade ?

If physical gold price just decrease about 3-4%, u still in loss if u want to get into the game again.
Remember the spread differences.
