Hie there, my house is on renovation, and we have quite alot of concrete work. I would like to ask, is it really ok to pour in the concrete while its raining? How is it going to dry? Bcz my contractors said raining is not an issue. Is it true? Recently almost everyday also rain... Haiz... Thx!

I post something sometime ago.. Can read up. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...741&hl=concrete Initial poring if heavy rain, is not good and will also weaken. But if pour for some hours then only rain is ok (with proper cover)

(for initial pouring) My contractors even told me its better if its rain, as the concrete wont crack so easily. Thx!

Mild rain or drizzling is ok... It helps in curing process.. This is very important especially using high grade concrete where cement content is high..

its okie to pour in the rain just dont let the rain make teh cement too wet..
best if you can set up a canopy to protect the area from rain..
or pour before it rains and cover it with those orange/blue layer of mat to keep it from kena-ing the rain water
