The DAC is different, PCM1795 instead of PCM1792 on STX but the spec is pretty similar but it support the Analog Device ADSP-21261 32-bit output. The specs of all the core components used is excellent, the datasheet suggest the DSP also could support all the movie sound decoder such as Dolby Digital stuff, DTS-ES and Dolby Matrix and Pro Logic, but why on Earth they skimp on NE5532 opamp is beyond my reasoning, probably that's why its socketed.
