My PS3 seems to decode before it sends data out of HDMI 1.3, so I can't get DTS HD or Dolby True HD to work.

I have already set it to allow for HDMI to bitstream out onto my integrated amp (which supports DTS HD/Dolby True HD) but the PS3 just wouldn't understand this and insists on decoding the sound before streaming it to the amp.

Does anyone understand this problem, and is there a solution?

I don't think PS3 can do bitstream over HDMI as yet...need to wait for the next patch, romours said it'll include DTS-MA as well.
