In my opinion, it's best you configure the IP manually, and if you're connecting wirelessly, DMZ your PS3. This way, it wont have problems playing online games.

That explains why you sometimes have problem playing cod4. It's the only game so far that requires you to DMZ your PS3 to play online.

Try it out.

I've been using a D-link Wireless Router and a some caplak modem provided by telekom.

And i have problems for online games. Some works great, some just wont let me connect at all.

Example :- COD4, some people invite me, i have no problem joining their game, some other people... mati mati also cannot join.

GTA4, Game Session No Longer exists messages 99 out of 100 tries.

MGS4, Cant connect to host "0B09:000000000000" or something like that.

Other games like Vegas, Burnout Paradise, GT5P no problems playing online...

Is it because of my router ? Modem ?

Is it recommended i get a wireless router+modem (to get NAT1) ??

Or any other suggestions ?

Direct connection is out of the question, because i dont have a phone line in my room, and my computer is in the other room.

You'll need a 2.5" SATA hard drive... If you wanna replace the existing one..

If you want to use external.. meh, just connect to USB port... but you cant install games on USB connected hdd
