erm just a silly question. my ps2 already 3 years, is it normal that you can hear the sound of gear inside the tray disc when you open it? (fat version, placing by horizontally) thank you. though it can still can running all game without problem..

you mean the output is only a black connector? i have seen those cable before, that was somewhere back in 4 years.. if you lucky, you might still find the cable being sale in any gaming store.

for ps2 fat, get a modem attached at the back. for slim just plug in the lan/phone cable..,
you cant get online by using the av out cable..

maybe your memory card is the one cause problem?
never happen to me though, both cards are official sony, bought at rm90 each..exp..working flawlessly.

if the card slot spoiled, the save game should not be read..
anyway, just try the card to other ps2 first, see if the problem still occured.
