I'm looking for a 1 piece solid timber to use as furniture. The cabinet contractors all deal with the normal laminate/melamine only. I wonder where to search for it..

nice appetite you have here.... all the ID contractor only able to source normal / general product like plywood, melamine and etc...

For your case here, you need to source for timber miller or loggers... Those are solid plank cut-to size directly from the miller...

You also need to know the type of timber species you wanted....

I've seen a few of these timber 'slabs' at Black Apple. It's mainly a lighting shop but they do have some other furniture. It's located along Jalan SS2/75 in SS2. It's converted house facing the main road (Jalan SS2/75) leading into LDP.

Along SS2/75, you will see Legend followed by Public Bank on your left. Black Apple is further down the road just before the turn onto LDP.

where is ur location? if u ar mentakab there.. u should be able to source for it at plywood mill..

Thx for d info guys. I heppen to c such slabs online, seems popular in oz so wanna try too. The ss2 shop is selling furniture, wonder if they will sell me just the wood top. I was at viva, saw a table, something like the fotos, costs 5 figures ! I'm in kl actually haha.. wonder wher to find sawmill. Google see ..

You can try this place... they might be able to source for you but it isn't gonna come cheap.

there is a shop at PJ old town, near market, specializes in selling solid chengai timber block, cost "only" 4 figure, if you like a darker colour piece of wood, worth a look.
