Its basically preview of the sales thread. A picture of a car in a car sales thread, for example.

You can simply upload a photo to an image hosting site, and copy the direct link/ forum link(I can't recall) and paste it there.

sorry but how can it be done? i am not pro..

First of all, go to flickr website to make an account and upload any photo.

Click the photo on that flickr website, you will come to this as shown below, then, click 'Share' and then check 'BBCode'.



Then, copy and paste the code to 'Thumbnail URL' on Lowyat Forum.



Then, the important thing is that, the one you have copied and pasted, has to be edited. WHAT YOU NEED is ONLY "http:........jpg". DELETE OTHER WORDS.

When you have done typing all the necessary stuffs, just click "Post New Topic". The thumbnail will appear next to that thread.

In the Flickr, remember to select thumbnail size image. I missed out that, sorry.

Whenever you reply a topic/post (aside from Fast Reply), you'll see "File Attachments" right under the "Post Icons".
Basically, u're uploading an image to LYN site and attached it to ur post.

I try to update the thumbnail.
but its not possible.
i'm using direct link from photobucket. paste it in ther Thumbnail URL field.
some more the picture size is 70px x 70px.
I think it is small enough.

How I change photo in Thumbnail URL column? I used Direct link from photobucket, it won't update to new photo, still post the old photo. I tried change the photo pixel size, still no luck. Last time (around January or February), I can change photo with no problem, but recently it won't work anymore. Anyone has same problem. Thanks.

Hi all, I still can't able to setup the thumbnail by using flickr, may anyone can help/show me which step am i doing wrong?
Below is the method that i followed, it doesn't work.

I would like to know:
1) Should i select HTML or BBCode?
2) Thumbnail size (100x100) is it correct?
3) About the https link, is just only need to copy that what i highlighted right?

you cannot use https url for image. need to use http only. try uploading the image to another hoster like Pictr

I think something went wrong with the Thumbnail feature again in Garage sale.

P/S: Been doing many threads with thumbnails for quite some time but I noticed it suddenly it stopped working after the last Lowyat maintenance.
