Overall Metalboss turns out to be a very good figure.If to compre to Medicom,this one really knock their socks out.No point to compare with HT since there's no prototype picture to begin with.
At the moment this the closest rendition of naked snake that I see in 6th scale.
Pros:
Very nice HS.
Nice detailings on BDU and Alice pack.
Quite a fair bit of accessories.
Nice packaging.
Actual miniature boots.
Body kinda feel like a TT clone.
High end feel to the whole figure.
Cons:
Inner sneaking suit hinder body articulation.(I've seen worse in my HT's Appleseed,Predator or Batman figs.)
Missing emblem of MSF and Fox patches.(Can't help it especially it's unlicensed.)
Identity crisis - It has more peacewalker appearance as opposed to Snake-eater.
Missing some signature accessories - cigar,zippo lighter
Pistol/Rifle gripping hand is not in proper position as in the weapon will point crooked.
Long neck as in all headplay HS.Shortened mine.
Oversized rifle and pistol just like HT.
Eyepatch is badly implemented.
Casual HT collector be prepare to put in some time to figure out how to put on the the alice pack.It's still very much a military figure.

MP5 did appeared in Peace Walker but you use the wrong one.It's mp5a2 with fixed stock but the magazine is the straight type like WW2 Thompson.
Just use a cutter blade (surprisingly the material is very easy to cut with cutter) to shorten few mm and the hs neck will look more natural.Hot glue or blue tack back the neck-post.Less than 5 minutes job.

Nice bash,just a suggestion to bulk a bit on hips and thigh to give the pants better fitting.Like the butt cheeks boxer from playhouse.Accuracy nazi will change the socom pistol to mk22 with suppressor.
Think ht is going for the sneaking suit as their announcement poster featuring 3ds snakeeater,so guess inflame's sneaking suit can be not as hot as bdu version.Down the road ht may milk with other versions as kojima is releasing mgs 2 & 3 hd version that's provided ht secure the licensing.

Remove the alice packs hook and slot the hook holder over the belt.Attached back the small hook via the small inlet.Follow as per the diagram.Back pouch at the center of belt follows by 2 canteens by the side of it and then the magazine pouches.You will need a good tweezer to do it efficiently.
For suspender please look at the diagram.Think you need to attach magazine pouches accordingly whereby the first sling hook has a small extended inlet for you to hook the 2nd sling.Lastly tighten up sling via the mini buckle mechanism.

Hope my england is not too complicated for you.

And one more thing is to trim off the excess sling like the dropleg holster and even the suspender sling if you want.After cutting it and use a lighter to seal off the edge.

It does look good with a reasonable price.They are using ace body which gives a decent body proportion and height.Though is on a larger body so need to take consideration when using their body for kitbash..
Can't wait to see the d-boys.

Playhouse 5th Anniversary fig.
Kinda disappointed with it,hope they can really improve on the body and HS department.Hope to switch body later.

Really hope one day someone gonna make this figure in 1/6th scale.

Not sure will HT coincide their MGS with 3DS snake eater launch like Q1 2k12.Assassin Creed came out stealthy and quick.

Even it's not by Medi or HT,I'm still ok with others or unlicensed one.Don't even mind if with limited articulation...(Neca). Then I believe Deus Ex has lesser chance to sell if compare to Halo or Gears of War.

Man you guys sounds a lot like fanatic.Every HT's new release debate like nobody business or nitpicking this and that.But end up still getting it.Because of this HT will continue to milk it.

Right now Iron Man is relevant but down the road I'm certain something will replace that.Coming from someone who's been collecting HT since they started way back in late 90's.

I welcome the reissue of mk1 but I'm more incline to get the ciplak mk1 instead as for such intricate piece,don't think it will last as too many parts will fall off after couple of poses or abuse.Furthermore if to mod it or paint it also don't feel the pinch.At the end it's just a figure.
If the figure can save me couple of bucks or decent quality,why not.
Even I don't get it,like Bro Mywii said "Don't have cannot die one."

If want perfection,why not commission Kojun or Laila to tailor made one of a kind or get someone with caliber to re-mod it.Or better yet,mod it yourself.

I like how clean this fig is.Still 50/50 to po him or not.

3rd party Tamron SP90 macro lens.The most widely used macro lens that's affordable and decent quality.1.4k plus or minus.If to get the stock camera brand which usually cost extra like 300 to 500.Actually 50mm or 60mm macro also can be used as on my sony is 50mm macro (personal) whereas Canon is SP90 (office). It can double up as prime lens with full open to f2.8 for nice shallow depth of field.

"Tampon" lens can take super close-up shots marr!
Actually those high end p&s camera is a viable option 4 toy photography.Just need to know which to get.
Fooling around with photoshop on some lens flare effect.Very amateur.

No lah!HT engineering of gear is not as meticulous as SS or Playhouse. Take an M4 for instance,SS actually breaks down the rifle components to reflect 1:1 scale.Hence railing and scope is inter changeable with other variants from other release.Tailoring and chestrig also better.HT wins hands down for aesthetically pleasing but gear wise is taking shortcuts here and there to make it look good.This is strictly on military figure wise.
Toyscity is catching up but gear still couple of notch below SS.
Those old HT release is getting out-dated as most spec ops is adopting newer gear.Furthermore is a very costly tobuy those old figures.
