Guys , I would like to ask. I changed my Gen2 1.3 exhaust to 4-2-1 aluminium pipe. And I saw a thread in other forum saying that aluminium will cause some parts in car overheat. But the fella just don't get any reply so I have doubts here. What do I have to take care more since I changed my exhaust to 4-2-1 aluminium ? TQ

1 more question guys. What should I do to take care of my car so that it won't loss that much of horse power after years ? Go for maintenance regularly ( I did ) Use better engine oil ?
Do u guys go for engine wash ? Normally cost u how much ? I heard of smth de-carbonize bla bla bla.. The sisa-sisa inside engine after years.. need to wash them out too ?

QUOTE(shazmn @ Dec 31 2011, 04:30 PM) wowww dunno nowadays aluminium oso got ppl use to make exhaust header/extractor anyway its stainless steel i guess...just use it...dont hear all those nonsense...if suddenly ur fuel gets worse, go check for crack at the joint... as long as u keep on maintaining it properly and service it regularly according to schedule then dont worry too much... Lol.. i think is stainless steel.. sorry ya.. not alu.. from 8.4Litre/100km became 9.8litre/100km already.. got prob ?

QUOTE(wandzul @ Dec 31 2011, 08:03 PM) U may fabricate custom heatshield for the extractor so that other nearby parts receive lesser heat i.e fan motor, tubings etc. can DIY some more.. I believe u meant for engine flush not engine wash right mate? btw, yes engine flush & decarbonize should help.. good products which i have personally tested for these purposes are Lambda Primer & Threebond decarbonizer, they really brought the smoothness back to my engine.. costing should be anywhere near rm90 for both.. You may do it like once per 30000km or so.. for engine oil just dont use recycled or super cheapo unreliable brand mineral oil which tends to form sludge inside your engine.. oil change interval must be strict too i.e every 5000km for semi syn or one per 3 months which ever comes first.. I am no mech or taiko but this is how i maintain my engine since a year++ back, and so far im satisfied with the outcome.. I punye alternator sudah kasi servis la bro, apa macam mau hantar pigi sampai ipoh mau servis? Thanks bro for the advises.. Added on December 31, 2011, 11:03 pmQUOTE(ahlong @ Dec 31 2011, 10:54 PM) all-in-one engine care by wandzul +100000 normal.. delicious feeling after change extractor symptom hehehe.. to make it lower, u may lighter ur leg then u'll get lowest reading LOL.. is mine prob adi den.. delicious feeling consum petrol.. haha.. Hey guys , I read a post in other car forum saying these !!!
The correct way of parking should be : (1) brakes till the vehicle come to a FULL stop (2) go to N (3) pull hand brake (4) release the foot brake (5) turn off the engine (6) and then only go to P
Is this method correct ? Any idea ? But some cars can't turn off engine without putting the gear to P right ?
Added on February 21, 2012, 2:54 pmDo anyone here went Kaki Motor for car mod before ? I heard some said not worth because too pricy compared to garage outside but Kaki Motor shud be more reliable right ?

QUOTE(ahlong @ Feb 21 2012, 03:54 PM) dont know haha.. as long as my car inside the box, put P and off engine haha.. Same as what I did. Never face any problem with the gearbox. Is working well till now. Could the car get more stability by adjusting the absorber/suspension thingy like Lower the car .
