Finally tried Tokusan Toroniko Shio Ramen...The soup is nice, but the meat is full of vein and fat  doh.gif

Overall, Marutama Ramen @Fahrenheit88 is much better !!!
*
blink.gif are you sure?? pork cheek is not meant to be fat and full of vein?? it suppose to be tender and lean

I have tried out at the Japanese Western fusion outlet call Cafe Takahashi at Pavillion which is few doors from Santouka.

They make Western food using Japanese ingredients for example is Unagi Pizza, Tamago Banana Pizza, Unagi Tofu Pasta and so on.

As i was alone, I unable to try out much of the food and i was kinda full that day. There is too many 'weird' choices but i ended up opt for Chicken Chop with Wasabi Mayo.

Oh really? Thanks for tipping me up. Honestly I was rushing for a movie that day which is screening in another 20 mins +-. Amazingly this restaurant served faster than I cook my maggi cup noodles which I able to make it for the movie with a 2 minutes to wait. Awesome!  rclxms.gif

here here i show you tongue.gif

I would say their Komi Tamago very deeply flavored. The yolk melts in the mouth leaving a trail of egg taste in your mouth to your throat. The egg with is soft and melts too. Cut right in the middle as you open it... mai mai drool.gif drool.gif

This round, I ordered Kara-Miso Ramen with Grilled Salmon & Salmon Roe set small. Cost RM40 + 10% service charge.

Though it is said to be spicy, i don't find it spicy. NOT AT ALL. Well a good try at least, just a little tingle bit of spicy which i think most malaysian will think it's just a reddish looking soup which tasted like miso with chili oil and chili flakes laugh.gif .. This time as it's just the normal Cha-Shu, the meat is hoarse a bit not as tender as Toroniku. The Cha-Shu is made from hard frozen pork and not fresh pork as there is that 'frozen' taste to it. Toroniku tasted more fresh.

As usual the noodle is chewy!! Loving it a lot. Grilled Salmon is a very salty to my dislike sad.gif .

Man i fall in love with their Chawanmushi!! The egg custard is really soft smoth silky melting with strong eggy taste ending with a trail hint of vinegar. I can't really put what taste it is but it taste sourish vinegar fragrance in it. Inside the chawanmushi got 3 thin slice of Matsutake Mushroom, 20cent size prawn and 1 cube of chicken.

Sometimes, good things is meant for it price. Specialty shop have their own special in preparing what they serve to the table. Buffet is too vast that somethings is good while some are not.

As Santouka have Awase-Aji Ramen which is the combination of Shio, Shoyu & Miso broth. I decided to drop by for a try. brows.gif I also ordered their Tonkatsu, but i have to say still Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen one is nicer.. drool.gif

But be warn, you'll get very thirsty after as it's pretty salty. I still prefer Kara-Miso and Shio wub.gif wub.gif

As usual, the egg and the cha shu are very very so gooding brows.gif brows.gif
