I like the restaurant cuz it brings me back good memories. I ate there sakit perut muntah-muntah 1 minggu lol.
But the chicken and meat with rice and soy sauce is nice. Thats the only thing i eat there. Too bad most of the restaurants shut down already.

Went to Hanare for their brunch buffet, was not completely satisfied but do not know if its a one off. Sashimis were great but they seem to give the impression that they are running low on it, sliced very thin and true enough at the end they ran out of salmon. Nigiris and makis were great.

Ebi tempura was great, so was the saba. Long wait for teppanyaki, 20 minutes at least of a wait, and wagyu is replenished slow, and once replenished is gone within 10 seconds, have to wait again. However it was good, prawn teppanyaki was nice with juicy succulent large prawns.

While the rest was good was just disappointed by their sashimi offerings, thinly sliced; contrary to what i see from blog reviews, ran out of it in the end, considering i paid RM150++ per person.

Their main problem is they do not have quality control over their chefs. Got Bangla, Nepalese and Burmese. They should have stick back with one or two restaurants instead of making them chained.

I would have dine at Kampachi Troika for their buffet for that RM150++. Eat till you laugh! Btw, some fishes are meant to be sliced thin.

Shogun is the worst buffet restaurant u ever wanted to try.

Went there like few weeks ago.
Had dinner with my friend around 7pm.
They refuse to replenish their sushi.
I pass by their sushi section a few times to dbl check if they had replenish them. Their salmon sushi had 3 servings from 7 to 10pm. It stays the same way.Other sushi too were not replenish too.
The sushi were not placed properly. It looks so out of place. Some of the sushi did not cover the rice properly.
It looks like some run-down mamak stall .

One thing notable about thier chef was that , they're pretty good in clapping the flies. One clap and the fly was dead on their palms.

They should really replace the name as Show Gun restaurant.
When you pay the bill, they really show you a gun. RM70 plus per pax with terrible sushi and no replenish.

Ya I know that place...I dont fancy it.

You can try Xenri or Umai-ya for the buffet.

Ya, I never reckon Shogun as one of the buffet choice. Whoever recommend your friend to Shogun is just sending them to hate Japanese cuisine.

It would be definitely helpful if you are able to share the name as well.
