Just transfered my hardware form my P180 to this TJ-09, not alot of space behind the HDD cages, it barely fits my sata cables as i mount my HDDs in reverse , but this will do for now as i am awaiting new parts before doing some serious "cable hiding" with some holesaw action on the mobo tray and paint it black....

QUOTE(xtorm @ Nov 1 2007, 01:03 AM) lazy to make a hole behind my board...so this is the best cheapo cable management i can manage that's very neat and clean, but may i suggest that you can push ur HDDs further up front is possible? it will look cleaner if the cables are hidden within the HDD cage, or mount it in reverse so the sata and power cable face the front of the casing..nice work. |

@Zangetsu, you've got alot to do to make things neat in there, unplug all the cables and just do it one by one, just route the cables one by one, things will become clearer as you go along...
it's all about patience, routing and rerouting, trial and error....put in a couple of hours effort and post here again, you can do it!!! |

building a second rig for backup purpose...minimalist approach...and blue and black color scheme...even the 9600GT was chosen for it's color
these are some pic of my work in progress....still have DVD-rom and a HDD to add in, in terms of cables, left a sata , a IDE and the front panel usb connectors.... ![]() the Silverstone Strider ST50F dont come sleeved...but i want it cuz of the blue fan i sleeved the ATX connector, sleeving the wires two by two.... ![]() here's a closer look... ![]() here is an overall look, i got this casing from pcmoddingmy...took the HDD cages, going as minimal as i can... the internals are powder coated black, only the mobo tray was chromed, so i sprayed the tray matte black... i will post more pics when it's completed, waiting for a few more hardware to arrive |

here are some pics of the internals: ![]() took out the ram cooler cuz wanna show the ram...coincides perfectly with the color code the cables of the front panel connectors are covered in heat shrink...cuz i ran out of black sleeve one thing that bugs me is the DVD-writer cable....maybe shud buy a Sata writer ![]() closer view to show the cacingness in the drive bay... ![]() even close view..notice the sticker of the galaxy 9600GT? blue ![]() front of ze case...a dvd writer and a Scythe Kamabay...no gaps tis time. ![]() back....chrome,came like this stock...put on some Silverstone aeroslots... ![]() transparent side panel attached...couldnt get a good picture...reflection.. anyhow that's my build, as always i build it with lots of attention in cable management...any comments and suggestion are welcome... Added on March 26, 2008, 3:08 am QUOTE(mfcm @ Mar 24 2008, 11:04 PM) painted that long time ago...used it on my other build, was just trying it on...thanks for the comment QUOTE(mADmAN @ Mar 24 2008, 11:29 PM) u painted the mobo tray???? QUOTE(RahXeph0n @ Mar 24 2008, 11:41 PM) spraying it matte black made hiding cables much easier...stealth is the name of the game...go ahead and paint and post the results here! QUOTE(Aquariusdenz @ Mar 25 2008, 05:47 AM) all in the spirit of modding!QUOTE(Bigblock @ Mar 25 2008, 06:11 PM) rare case indeed, very fortunate i got it from pcmodding bro..at a decent price as well...allu design? chrome you mean...it's still allu, just painted allu now.... [ QUOTE(LExus65 @ Mar 25 2008, 06:21 PM) veri nice work, i like the colour theme......... may be i should get 1 casing and do this too....... blue parts(cooler,ram,gc,fans,etc..) are pretty common, so scouting for the parts are pretty easy, go ahead man! thinking of doin a green machine next.....DFI board, nvidia card,Zalman 9700NT....hmmnn... QUOTE(Doom @ Mar 26 2008, 04:59 PM) hohoho .. between PC-07 and Akasa 62 .. . since i do not use the 3.5" HDD cage, that's no a prob, i use a SilenX HDD cooler that fits into my 5.25" bay....I would rather go for Akasa loh .. spacious and loaded with features .. the only sad thing is no vibration absorption HDD cage .. else it would be a perfect one .... QUOTE(eimzic @ Mar 26 2008, 08:01 PM) I actually admire this one.. very neat with awesome color matching.. yep, the sata writer is on it's way, will post the updated pics later...thanks!even sata cable also black.. using sata dvdwriter would be even better. plus captured using D80 QUOTE(nimrod2 @ Mar 28 2008, 08:11 AM) seanl, tq man, you shud like my previous build too,i posted in this thread before, check it out:zomg dude i so so so so so luuuuuuuuurrrrrrvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvve wtf mine seems so ugly now btw sooyewguan, how come your psu at the bottom wan? i never see before. sorry i'm a noober » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « the psu is also on the bottom like sooyewguan' case, btw, nice work sooyewguan |

QUOTE(tapirus @ Mar 28 2008, 08:29 PM) thanks it's TJ-09, no esa... QUOTE(nles @ Mar 28 2008, 08:42 PM) I think it's TJ09, it's quite a while already he got the casing. thanks man, couldnt invest too much on superhigh-end hardwares, so do things like this to satisfy meself I always admire his cable management skill and paint job. QUOTE(mfcm @ Mar 28 2008, 08:42 PM) TJ-09 bro, got it pretty cheap from a forumer...never really like TJ-10 front panel window...QUOTE(RegentCid @ Mar 28 2008, 08:50 PM) the TJ-09 is not an ideal case for cable management, the space behind the mobo tray is minimal, i cut some holes and paint, about 4-5 days, most of the time spent on waiting the paint to be completely dry before applying the next layer....compare to the silverstone, the Akasa casing is a dream to do cable work, good amount of space behind the mobo tray, and big holes already cut.....took me alot less time on the case itself, but i spend some time on sleeving the PSU and other cables..... it's not 100% yet, still waiting for the sata burner and gonna try to hide the front switches connectors behind the mobo tray, stay tuned! |

QUOTE(RahXeph0n @ Mar 31 2008, 03:03 PM) Just a thought. If going to punch the mobo tray to hid wiring, why not punch the PSU instead? HAHA. then the wiring instead of coming out from the back, come out from the side straight to the mobo tray hole. cutting a hole on the PSU will void it's waranty Won't work if it's a modular PSU though. And i wonder if the inner components of the PSU will allow that. |
