Not that quiet though. The fan on my GC isn't running smoothly and causes grinding sounds.

QUOTE(Doom @ May 15 2007, 10:10 PM) If that's the case then u have to get a third party cooler for replacement of stock cooler .. hahah It's spinning only at 60%. Not much of intention of getting 3rd party cooler as the temps now are great idling around 50 degrees in air-cond room.Anyway used to use 8800GTS and u could set the fan speed not to go up to maximun during gaming ... It's not neccessary to have it spin to the max .... |

QUOTE(Doom @ May 16 2007, 09:02 PM) hmmm ??? Is there a thin layer of plastic cover on the cooler surface ?? No there's no plastic cover...there never was since i bought itI had it remove half way previously as the blower fan some how suck it in during running time... it makes noise as the fan blade hit the plastic layer.... OT: Does all 8800GTS comes with a plastic coer at the stock fan? Mine didn't. These days i'm confused and worried because i am afraid i bought a used GC, because the shop only quoted me 1 year warranthy from Galaxy meanwhile Galaxy says their GC comes with 2 years warranthy. And i can't find my serial number on my GC. |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ May 18 2007, 09:43 PM) u dont extend the cables on the PSU itself....u make ur own from scratch... go to an elctronics spare parts shop like those in jalan pasar and buy the cables, male and female molex, and male and female molex pins. ooo nice...EDIT: example of Doom's DIY extension cables can be seen HERE I actually have some plans already but now my PSU not very right and fear may need to RMA. After warranthy habis which my rig maybe use as secondary rig or sell alrdy i intend to mod my cables. Now i currently using 2 Sata and no molex cables. So i intend to remove all the Y-split for the sata power cable, extend it, and keep only 2 sata cables directly from the PSU so that it will be neater. |

QUOTE(Doom @ May 18 2007, 11:08 PM) I thought the wires are long and able to play around with when comes to cable management ... . ... I almost gone for that PSU before ... It's long but in between the last connector on the cable and the PSU, there is 2 Y-split cables which looks untidy since i want to only use 2 of the end connectors.Anyway it would be good to be able to have the flexibility of extending the cables for better result... |

I've got a LL PC-7 too. And the cable seems to be hard for me to manage. The only possible way for me to manage nicely would be drilling holes to my case. But scared will ruin it

QUOTE(kalakatu @ May 27 2007, 11:42 PM) basically the first 5.25" is the suitable place to hide the cables.. If i put there then my 24pin mb power cable very hard to route to the mb section.u can install ur optical drive at the 2nd place or below it.. if u wanna drill the holes, better think twice and have a perfect plan so that the case wont be ruined.. |

If i were to buy a 24pin or molex connector will they come with the metal conductor in it?
I intend to make a few extension myself and if they don't come with the metal conductor inside i can't do it. |
