itz a piece of a so-called carpet.. if i'm not mistaken, they are used to cover wet cements from being stepped onto... laugh.gif

ahahah, as eBola mentiond, as long as there are no "rubbing" activities on the carpet, no static will be created...

anyway, dat carpet serves lotsa things...
- dust trapper.. i prefer the dust to be trapped there rather than on other components.. laugh.gif

- aestatic value.. i can cover the silverish base of the casing with the chop "QC OK!!"

- sound dampener.. so i wish... tongue.gif

nway ksl279, watercooled rig is indeed 1 hell of a challenge for wire management department. /me havent had any xp wif any watercooled rig b4... but yours, datz a TT casing ryt? this was wat i managed to do previously.

sidewinderz, hey...reminds you of the good ol' days huh...been loving this baby since day 1...and my 478, transferred to another pc already...used by my mrs.

doom, thanks for all the advice. in the mean time while waiting for your advice, i've rerouted the sata cables, no longer sticking out like onion rings. the cable for the cpu cooler i've also tied it. i'm not good in sleeving so, i guess tying is my best option.

as for top area, when my side cover is on, it can block the psu cables quite well, if not all. i'll see what i can do with that in the future.

as for the last advice, i'm planning to 'borrow' the technique from r4ydc24, by using carpet to cover the bottom...ehehehee...hope you don't mind...

fr the pics, i can say dat itz gonna b hard to hide those molexes under the carpet.. fyi, i tried my best to hide all the molexed behind the hdd tray thus, under the carpet will only b cables..no much bulging here n there.. laugh.gif

btw, since itz a TT, y dun u consider havin SILVER sleeve as featured in AC Ryan n some bulkers' threads in Bulk/ Garage Sales? they gonna look ub3r cool inside ya casing... silverish... drool.gif ... my internal, is DEAD GREY~~~ doh.gif

owh n, d carpet thingy, i was recommended by another forummer nick Addario.. my sifoo notworthy.gif

izdihar:

ya sata cable can be sleeved in black 2 look sumthing lyk diz..
user posted image
or even better, for it to look like this rclxm9.gif
user posted image

dat 20-24 pin converter, u can get a longer one for RM5 at Sri Comp, LYP and hide the converter head on the back of the mobo plate.

the SATA power cable, if u r brave enuff to reposition the head, u can try to reduce the gap between 2 sata molex heads to look like this..
user posted image

lastly, dat mobo power n hsf power cables, try to re-route them using the same path...meaning, combine both cable to reduce the mess around there..

E-J@1: hair dryer n tonnes of patience

Doom: tried using lighter but direct burnt heat is not frenly to some heatshrink... end up wif sum burnt marks.. thus, been using hairdruer ever since..

p/s: my sifu taught me to sleeve using soldering gun.... industrial heatshrink can tolerate dat but Vantec's heatshrink can't.. smile.gif

already tried using hairdryer, but it didn't shrink, dunno maybe i didn't heat it long enough, btw, will it shrink even for an hour i heat it up the heatshrink? i only tried for 2 minutes, got fed up & use the kitchen's stove, damn it melt the plastic thingy a bit mega_shok.gif
*
now dat stove trick is a lol laugh.gif .. neva tot of doing dat wor~

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jan 9 2007, 02:08 PM)
a heat  gun is the best way to do it. the cheapest and easiest way would be a lighter...which is what i use and they all turn out fine.. thumbup.gif
*
use dat on Vantec heatshrink?

QUOTE(ianho @ Jan 9 2007, 04:26 PM)

Not the cleanest, but bear in mind that this case is not designed for cable management tongue.gif

Im also working on a SUGO 01....waiting for mobo biggrin.gif
*
dude, u can start by sleeving the silvy up.... re-routing d cacings myt b very tricky but sleeved cacings usually behaves better... laugh.gif

QUOTE(AlamakLor @ Feb 22 2007, 01:28 PM)
The final cable route is actually neater than what you'd see in the pictures I took. But there is little room in the casing and folding the ide cables was a PITA. I've given all my sleeving and modding stuff to ianho, so I don't plan on sleeving the wires....besides...there's no window...and it's a HTPC..who the hell cares how nice it looks inside laugh.gif as long as it looks neat and there's enough room for good airflow, i'm cool. I might get some spiral cable wrap from dollar store next time. Will take a few more pix after I upgraded my hsf (in a week or two)

I still havent received my mobo for the sugo...that's gonna be a big PITA to manage since that casing, similar to my lascala lc-11b, has little room for cable management.
*
forgot to read somemore... ahaahaha... btw, sleeving is not all on aestatic purposes... brows.gif kamon, post teh latest pic already... like to make us wait lyk wat ianho does best... ahahahaha... cry.gif
