During the Invincibles era, teams came to Highbury prepared to get hammered 2,3 sometimes 4 nil in the 1st 20 mins !!! Such was the speed of our attacking relay team. I remember those days U really have to watch the game from the start, bcoz by the time the ref blew for half time, we usually were up by 2 or 3, sometimes 4.

Then teams began to learn their lesson & not give us so much space, Bolton started this & they play us really close that we couldn't execute our passing. Then we also began to lose Ljungberg, Viera, Pires.. & lastly Henry.. & nobody fear us no more these days. These days teams come to Emirates & know they can get results. & U dun really have to watch the game from the start to catch the goals... (okay some of U here will start to point out Walcott's goal vs Udinese & maybe a few others...but those are extremely rare cases..). & I watch the game nowadays praying all the time that the 90 mins will be over quickly, coz even if we were up by 4, we can still lose the game !! Very stressful.

I dun wanna live in the past glory, but I really miss those days.

In the process we also managed a couple other things :
1. We managed to put our season in jeopardy
2. We also managed to prove to the world that we can't hold on to our best players, despite the years spent developing them. Teams will soon be lining up with chequebooks outside the Grove's door to make offers we can never (or refuse) to match.

We look more like a feeder club every year...

I've been an Arsenal fan a long time..but tonite's game ... feel's like the champ vs midtable team..not a top 4 team. Our weaknesses have been cruelly exposed...& Man U's youngsters seemed much, much better than ours. Sorry to tell U the bad news guys, but with a squad like this, a trophy of any kind this season is a very distant prospect..

3-0 down be4 half time. Wow..can't remember the last time we were being exposed like this.

Only 5 games into the new season & half the squad is already unavailable. Time 4 a new fitness coach maybe ?

Tht's once in a few blue moons type of performance. We've been struggling with consistency in the past few seasons. We can play like champions in 1 game, play like schoolkids the very nxt game..

I've always felt fans shud criticize whenever a club does wrong. If U dun criticize tht shows U dun really care 4 the club.

Maybe U shud do the same. I'm not saying everbody shud burn their Arsenal jersey 2nite (I've got both home & away current season mind U, ori ones).. but to call anybody lalang just becoz we criticize is very immature. Thts the level of mindset U hv rite now.
