Nasri is gone. Official:

Terms agreed with Manchester City for Nasri

Arsenal can confirm that they have agreed terms for Samir Nasri to move to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old midfielder, who has spent three years with the Gunners, has been omitted from Arsenal's squad which flies to Udinese this afternoon and instead will travel north for a medical.

The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical and formal registration processes.

Everyone seems to be applauding Walcot and Sczasjdiasjdoiajsoidjaoidsjoasijdoiasd but it was young Carl's best game to date. I have been one of his biggest critics so far but it was a fantastic game played by the young lad last night. Reminded me of old Luzhny back in the days. Rock solid without being spectacular. Still early days but yesterday's performance was really promising and encouraging.

FFS that last draw really was the killer. F U Matthaus. Why couldn't we have gotten the pfizer team or apoel or whatever crap. Not the hardest group but a tough one nonetheless.

dem..we hav to travel far.
*
Far? Look at the world map dude. Its practically 2 away games in neighbouring countries. You can probably argue the trip to Greece is far but it could have been far worse if we had gotten Trabzonspor or just as far as Greece if we had gotten Otelul Galati in the fourth draw.

oh dear,
if the reports are true... aww men

i mean we did offered 10m for jagielka right
cahill is half the price of jagielka?
errrrr. seems like wenger trolling
*
I don't think so. Cahill is on the last year of his contract and will not sign a new contract. Moreover I don't think clubs like Bolton could afford to lose players for free. Even if it doesn't sound much like 10 million. 10 - 12m tops for Cahill IMO. Just because Cahill seems to be more hyped up or seem the better player means he should be priced higher than Jagielka. Theoretically it can be argued Cahill should be worth more based on perhaps his ability, stats and last season's performance compared to Jagielka but there are many other external factors that could influence a player's price.

Arsene is actually doing the right thing because no matter how much we offer Bolton will for sure haggle for a higher price. If we were to put a first offer in of 12 - 14 million it will play right into Bolton's hands who would sure try to scrape an additional few million quid making a possible final price of 15 - 17m. We offer a low first offer then Bolton could haggle for that few extra million all they want and in the end it could be settled at 12 - 14 million which in my opinion is just about the right price for Cahill now. Just because we have the money now shouldn't mean we should just overpay for players.

Marvin, M'vila and Cahill please...but one more forward as AW said? who?

The possibility of M'vila arriving is almost next to none unless Arsene doesn't mind that he cannot play in the Champions League any more.

Park close to Gunners switch
August 27, 2011
By ESPNsoccernet staff
Monaco striker Park Chu-Young is set to undergo a medical at Arsenal.
Park Chu-Young has also been linked with a move to Lille
• Sol keen on Arsenal return

South Korea captain Park, 26, had been due to sign for Lille and underwent the first part of a medical, but he now appears destined for the Emirates Stadium after Arsene Wenger made his move.

Lille president Michel Seydoux told BBC Sport: "We haven't had a telephone call - nothing. From what we understand he could be at Arsenal."

He added: "Like Monaco, Lille are baffled. Everything had been agreed."

The Press Association reports that Arsenal have offered around £10 million for Park.
i must say this is one heck of a good news. Ryo and Park biggrin.gif 2 Asian bargain deal

I don't know what to say, because both side said they're baffled. Which probably means is the agent whom engineered the move without Lille's consent. But the thing is, isn't Monaco supposed to handle the deal officially also?

So far Lille are totally pissed with Park, but asked if they're pissed with Arsenal as well, i don't know.

gonna check arsenal website soon biggrin.gif

Exactly bro... Especially when the agents asking those sugardaddies clubs.

Btw...

13.27: Mercato 365 believes Arsenal have already reached an agreement with Lille starlet Eden Hazard. However, there's no agreement with the club, apparently. Arsenal, it's said, have had a €30 million bid rejected and are now ready to offer €35 million.

***... 35mil euro weh... He better be worth every penny if we do get him. If he comes for thatrice, how much will his wage be?  rclxub.gif i would rather get yann mvilla for less than 15mil n move aa23 to CM.
*
M'Villa is cup tied for the Champions League FYI hence there is almost zero possibility that he will join.

Oh ok... He can still play in knockout stages if we made it thru. But need to drop 1 player aaa. Huhuhuhu

Wat happen to tat swiss midfilder from fc basel? Xherdan or something? Nothing mentioned now... So maybe blessing in disguise?
*
Xherdan? That's something new to me lol Never heard of him before this. I'm guessing if we do sign a midfielder it would be one that is of the creative and more offensive mould rather than a DM. Frimpong has shown that he can more or less hold his own in that DM role almost as good as Song and I believe signing another DM would hinder his development. Ramsey on the other hand still looks like he needs to improve. Wilshere is still injured and Rosicky could get injured at any given time. That leaves us incredibly short in that department if Tomas suddenly gets injured again.

Latest player to be linked to us is Eljero Elia. A very direct player. But boy can he run and has really really quick feet.

People ridiculing the signing of Park Chu Young are a joke. Just because you haven't heard of him and just because he isn't one of your overhyped, overpriced media loving signing doesn't mean he is poor. Judge him after you have at least seen him kick a ball in a real match for 90 mins. Seriously.

I've been going around numerous forums checking on some feedback on this Korean and he seems to be a free kick specialist, can finish generally well, has a bit of decent pace and can occasionally provide a killer pass. Not too shabby I say. He might just surprise a few people IMO.

even Real Madrid got the quality but end up with Copa Cup
for me MU will always own MC
MCity need to beat MU if they want to win title like what they did last season for FA Cup
*
On the contrary I don't think so. To win the league is not how well you do against the other Big 4 or 5 its how well you do against the teams below the Big 4 or 5. You could lose all your games against Man Utd, Chelsea or Man City but still win the league if you win all the matches against the teams below the Big 4 or 5.

QUOTE(telefunken @ Aug 29 2011, 01:46 AM)
Relax guys, I sense that this season is our season. The harder you fall, the higher you bounce. Wait till everyone is back from injury and suspension. Imagine if we had our entire first team regular today. We would have easily beaten Man U. Just be patient and wait for Wilshere, Gervinho, Song, Frimpong and Vermaelan to come back and we will go on with our winning streak from there. At the moment, its just unfortunate that we have so many of our key players missing especially during crucial games like this. Hopefully 2 more quality signings and we will forever take this lost as a bittersweet memory and a blessing in disguise.
*
I agree. Man Utd weren't that great and even with a pathetic line up like this we could have and perhaps should have gotten at least 3-4 ourselves had RVP and Arshavin not missed those glorious chances. The scoreline is very flattering for United IMO who weren't that impressive to be honest. We just made it too easy for them defensively and our defensive mistakes just made them look better than they actually are. It is still early days in the season and I still think we are at least still good enough to qualify for the Champions League.
