Yann Mvila would be an upgrade to Song..love to have him here..but he's not the "creative" type..more like a box to box midlfielder that Wenger wants Song to be..I guess we need to depend on Wilshere and Ramsey for creativity..

Talking about Song, I think Wenger should limit him to DM position..he was excellent in that position and his performance would drop if he were given more freedom to attack..

yerp... that's it. salary.... ok about this, we have seen now that clubs are struggling to meet with the wages of players. Yes we should increase the wages but increase it to acceptable figures both for player and club. too many we've seen this year that clubs can't meet with wages of contracted players. recent cases being Adebayor and Kaka. in Ade case, his wage is so damn high but his value to the club is nothing. That's why Mancini didnt see him as part of his plan. That's why Kun was brought in. City even let him go on loan for free as long as they didn't have to pay him. So, 1 good season earns you huge wage but what of it if you can't play? and no one wants to play u?

Same can be said with Kaka.... though he is still a formidable player, Mourinho didn't see him as part of the RM renovation.... and they are struggling to sell him or even pay him. 150k/week turns out to about 7.8Million per year. For a player that hardly plays, that's surplus and a waste to the club.

As we've read today, clubs in Spain are struggling to pay wages to their players. 50+ millions in arrears is no joke. its only a matter of time before some agent/player take matters into their own hands and sue the clubs. that would be very ugly indeed.

that's why i love the way AW go about his businesses. He keep things tight, yet managable. Our salary structure maybe low but most importantly we can sustain and can pay our players. yes we have to change the structure to fit into todays wages demand but we shouldn't go overboard with it.

I think we can afford Kaka's wage for the season.... but that's the max i think we should pay any players for this year or next.

Reports from France suggest Arsenal could be on the brink of signing Monaco’s South Korean striker Park Chu-Young.

Park was due to join Lille, but apparently left midway through his medical tests there to travel to London to join Arsenal. Lille’s president Michel Seydoux said, “Park went to England, apparently to Arsenal. We are stunned by this unacceptable behaviour.”

BBC’s football reporter, David Ornstein, has confirmed with Lille that Park is on his way to sign for the Gunners. More on this as we get it.
