Arsene was born to manage Arsenal..that's his destiny..no doubt about that..even his name is very similar in spelling..

Nothing beats Wolfgang Wolfe managing Wolfsburg. Seriously.

Bye bye Samir Nasri. Too bad you shall never be remembered as an Arsenal great, and the good 1/2 season will always be overshadowed by the other mediocre 4 and the nasty transfer saga. Enjoy your money.

Arsenal are reportedly considering launching a bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger.

QUOTE(rifasha @ Aug 24 2011, 08:38 AM)
sometimes i dont know what is in the players mind, just take 1 example : Adebayor. he hit his form, then he request a salary hike then got refused, frustrated for 1 season, n then go to Citeh. at Citeh, play so-so for one season, went loan to Madrid then suddenly, now = Citeh willing to let go for free? clubs with big money spending sometimes destroying players career. Most notably, Real Madrid, back then Chelsea and now it seems like Citeh as well. this refers to Nasri, what happens if he got little time on the pitch, cannot fit into the system. is that what they r looking for? got paid but less playing time, then win the Cup, Title by playing less or sitting on bench most of the time? e.g. Alex Hleb? where is the footballing spirit? where is the fire burning to bring your club forward? you havent achieved anything then got frust then go away? true footballer is hard to come by these days...

On one hand, you can't blame players for seeking greener pastures. If a rival company comes in today and offers you 5x higher wages, will you not consider?

On the other hand, they should know better before deciding to switch teams. It's always a gamble - some players do achieve better results (Ashley Cole, unfortunately), some rot (Hleb).

We cannot predict which way Nasri will end up, but one thing's for sure... we finally got rid of someone who's heart is already gone from the Grove, and we made a huge profit now rather than lose him for nothing.

i rather arsenal lose tonight.

because they wont even stand at chance to win in champion league.

the odd is 1-99? while barcelona is 5-1? anyway, good luck to them. =D

If you aren't an Arsenal fan, I say fair enough to think whatever you want.

If you are one, I say fck off big time.

No fan will wish their club to lose.

Anyway, this is the way our away jersey should be... navy in the middle with light blue sleeves... still tak suka the Monaco look.

Get the FCK in !!!!

Woj's save was as important as the famous Lehmann save vs Riquelme back in 06. In fact the way this crazy kid jumps around the penalty box is very reminiscent of the mad German (Uncle Jens jumped left to right though). I love Wojciech.

Theo and Gervy's regular alternations in sides is a good tactic. Gervy's comfortable at either flank, while for Theo we've seen how deadly/Thierryqesue he can be when the afterburners are turned on. Theo still can be inconsistent and is quite easy to neutralise for more experienced wing backs, but no one does swift counter attacks better than he does.

Anyway, nothing more to say about this victory over a very good Udinese side. Great mental lift for the lads.

I'm more impressed with Villareal yesterday... granted it was against Odense who were technically-inferior, the way they controlled the tempo and utilised the wings are amazing. Their little passing-triangles were more intricate and executed way faster than ours - certainly something our new-look team can learn from.

Oh yeah... here's a huge finger to Nasri. It's only a day since he left, but already he's acting like Adebayor and blaming the fans. Thank you for those fans who sang him the c*nt song... It all fits perfectly now. And Mata? That's clearly a hijack from Chelsea. Jumping in and offering more money, and of course given Chelsea's current squad and potential, of course Mata and Valencia's going to say yes to them. Who's to say that if he joins us, he won't move to other larger clubs when the time comes?

Screw that, I'd rather see players giving their all like Frimpong's overenthusiastic debuts. Like Jack, our new Manu has Arsenal DNA.

Can we still change squad numbers now? Really looking forward to seeing RYO 11 (Sorry Vela), and hopefully (new midfielder) 8.

I'll be damned if we have KAKA 8 or SCHWEINSTEIGER 8. Not exactly that fussed about Eden Hazard for now given that we need a central midfielder more than wingers.

Let's see whether he would love Arsenal as madly as Titi does.

Dunno if this would help, you can pick one. Could not do transparent background cause didn't have a better photo editing software installed in the new comp for now.

New striker? I like. Especially when Nicky's likely to leave and Chamakh's form is absolute rubbish.

Park Chu Yong reminds me of Dudu, at least on youtube clips. It's good to have someone who's different and judging from how both MU and Bolton's Koreans are, they seem to adapt well enough to perform in England.

Good job Arsenal.

Now get us our midfielder and defender and we're done.

Being told that your loved one(s) just died.

Seeing your partner in bed with your best mate.

"I think we're better off being friends..."

Smashing your brand new car.

Going bankrupt.

No roof over your head.

Failing your finals.

Getting retrenched.

Losing your sight. Permanently.

Never able to walk again.

Having diarrhoea. Non-stop.

Drowning.

See? There are many other things than hurt more than a 2-8 loss.

2-8, 1-3, 0-1 at this stage is worth the same, i.e. 0 points.

Stop whining, start supporting.

Forever Arsenal.

QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Aug 29 2011, 04:19 PM)
Haha.. Any GOOD, BAD & UGLY review for the fans?
*
Yes.

The Good:
1. Our fans signing their hearts out. True fans. Gooners.

2. A young team CAN work. Our young team *almost* made it in 07/08, and last season we were in the race for quite some time until we ran out of gas. And now MU shows that kids can play well too, but only if they have enough experience around them for guidance and support.

3. Call it a slap on the face, a wake-up call, or whatever you want; this is something that's inevitable with our current dire situation and it's better to realise the malady now than later.

The Bad:
1. The 2-8, obviously. When you put a championship level team out there, expect to get spanked.

2. The kids are now scared shitless. It's like writing a PhD thesis when you've barely finished A-levels. Not entirely their fault as they were thrown into the ocean before they could even swim.

The Ugly:
1. WTF are we doing? Seriously WTF. It's easy to snide in hindsight, but stuff should have been done earlier during summer rather than now.

2. Perpetual injuries. We should be getting used to playing with half a fit team by now.

Done.

And welcome to the party, Park Chu Young !! You're in for one helluva ride.
