Ramsey brilliant was dictating play today.

Rosicky came on to calm things down.

RVP looked more involved compared to the last two games in the prem.

Gervinho is smoooooooth. But a tad too selfish at times.

Jenkinson was solid without being spectacular (which is exactly what our defence needs tbh).

Walcott... Blows hot and cold, but somehow came up with the goods for us in both legs.

My MOTM: Woj Scsz. His save was what turned the match around for us.

To be fair... Nasri did thank Arsenal, Wenger and the fans on his twitter account.................... AFTER he says hi the City fans.

That's what you get when you the squad has: -

1) A young keeper who we've stuck with despite breaking BOTH arms in his early days.
2) A RB right back who is a Gooner through and through
3) A CB who's hunger and desire to win every tackle and header is plain for all to see
4) A midfielder from Ghana who grew up in England supporting the Arsenal. And he didn't hide his displeasure at Nasri on twitter.
5) Another midfielder from Cameroon who was given sh*t by fans for years but had Wenger's confidence
6) An English winger/striker whose idol is our club's legendary goal-scorer
7) A midfielder who had a nightmare injury that we've stuck with
8) Another midfieldr who had countless nightmare injuries that we've stuck with
9) A captain who genuinely loves the club.

Woj Scsz on his penalty save: -

QUOTE
“I felt a little silly after the save because I gave a lot of stick to Di Natale before the kick was taken.” Szczesny said.

“I can’t say what I did. It’s something that shouldn’t be said on TV but it worked and he (Di Natale) came to me after the game and said “well done son”. I felt a little bit stupid because he’s quite a nice guy”

I really wonder what was said... "I'm gonna save it you old Italian pr|ck"? Or something along those lines...

Still no news on the transfer front? We better get in some new players b4 the weekend clash against MU

Sabar la... People there baru 7:00am.

I think we'll see a lot of activity on the media and blogs late tonight (our time).

And even if we sign anyone by Saturday (which I highly doubt), I don't think it's a good idea to play him on Sunday.

i dont think so hmm.gif
so like dat, if nasri currently earns around 180k a week, do u mean he also demanded for that figure when he was still with arsenal?
iinm if arsenal make a bid of 18m for mata before the buyout clause expired, valencia cant do anything but to accept the offer
*
If another company offer you 40% increase, won't you want your current company to match the offer?

Yes, Arsenal met the buyout clause, but could be possible Mata didn't like the contract? I'm sure Mata's agent made some enquiries among the top European teams to get an indicator of what they could be paying him.

On the subject Park Chu Young, I'm quite ok with this signing because I'm not convinced Chamakh can be depended upon in case RVP's out (touch wood). Admittedly, I've only seen YouTube videos of him but he looks like the type of Inzaghi-esque striker who times his runs well. Theoretically, if we are chasing for a goal, it would make more sense to bring him on as a sub, withdraw a MC or winger and put RVP in the "Bergkamp role".

At the same time, I'm still hoping we sign a marquee signing like Hazard because at this moment we haven't made the sort of signing that would make our rivals sit up and take notice. I've said all along, we don't have a player that strikes fear in our opponent and someone with a reputation like Hazard may just be what we need.

I have my doubts it will happen though...

Am watching Leverkusen vs Dortmund on ch 811 now...

My goodness does Dortmund look good... They are similar to us with a midget-ish midfield and they move the ball around like us as well but at faster speed! No dilly dally tippy tappy around the box but very direct and their forwards and wingers have bags of pace.

Gotze and Kagawa are very lively while Subotic and Hummels marshall the back line very well (although tbf, Leverkusen rarely attacked).

I usually hate watching German football, but this Dortmund side is quite entertaining to watch on a lazy Sunday morning.

I've already said that AW should cut his losses early on and expect a defeat from this.

Who's to say we won't win the next 35 games?

Yes, I agree that strengthening the squad and the whole Nasregas fiasco could have been kao tim-ed earlier. But was it AW's fault that Song, Frimpong, Gervinho, Vemaelen, Sagna and Gibbs are unavailable? So disappointing some of the posts here...

Ramsey always left to do everything alone at the middle of the pitch. He really the type that keep the game flowing, not the type to create opportunities. We need someone else, more Cesc-like, playing beside Ramsey and it'll be perfect. In defend, djorou is poor. He only qualified as reserve with that performance.

We have, His name is Wilshere.

You know... We can be angry with our manager. We can be angry with our team. But you never, ever, ever, ever ask for your team to concede more.

So do us all a favour and f*ck off.

Meh... You young f*cks weren't around when Igor Stepanovs was with us.

In case you were wondering, we won the prem the following year after that debacle.

Do you people honestly think we'd get this mauling if Vermaelen, Sagna, Song, Wilshere and Gervinho were in the team?
