I'm lucky had sold all my 3 funds in Feb 2011, somewhere it was peak. Now hold nothing and monitoring potential funds to buy when price drops. Monitoring PFES, PCSF, PISTF(EPF) & PISSF (EPF) coz bought them b4 except PFES. Any other potential funds to invest? Thinking to buy now but worry the stock market will continue to drop in next few days...what's your opinion and decision now?

Can I buy new fund online using HSBC saving acct money instead of Public Bank saving acct? coz I dun have PB acct. If can, is there any charges? Thanks.

If got charge also, it'll be FPX charge. In the range of 50 cents to RM 2.

u mean per transaction? example I buy RM5K, then I need to pay RM5,002?

I believe so. It's just my assumption excluding the service charge of 5.5%/0.25% for the fund.
*
the service charges is included in the RM5K (example), means the fund value will be 5.5% lesser than RM5K. In this case, I need to call PM office to check the charge if use other banks...thanks bro notworthy.gif

I just bought PFES today with cash & PISTF with EPF, hope the closing prices today drops then shoot up after 2moro smile.gif My target is to sell both funds when PFES reaches 0.3000 & PISTF reaches 0.3300 and hopefully is within 1 year smile.gif If cannot then 2 years as long as the return is better than FD & EPF's dividend. My last investment were PISTF & PISSF with EPF, both earned about 50% in 2 years, so average 25% per year, sold in Jan this year, very good return. Hope these 2 new investment can earn some extra interest for me, wish me good luck smile.gif

Well, actually I've been investing in pittikal before at a low price, and nowadays its even lower. Good chance to top up, but Pittikal still closed. SO hunt for other fund and my fund manager suggested PISSF.

The mistakes i did during past few years was only monitoring Pittikal fund NAV, while ignoring other fund huhuhuhuhu. So have little info on other fund x.x

Auuuuu.... PISSF NAV bounced back pretty high today (0.2738) +0.0025 sweat.gif

I bought PISSF using EPF in Aug2008 @ 0.2180 and top up in May2009 @ 0.1967, then sold all in Jan2011 @ 0.3063, total net profit gained 53.67% in 2.5 years, about 21% per year. The return is much much much better than EPF's 5.8% per year, about 16% extra thumbup.gif I'm now waiting for lower price to re-invest this fund.

About the same period, I bought PISTF using EPF too (0.2510 & 0.2004), also sold all on Jan2011, total net profit gained is 49.67%, also very good. This Monday I invested again this fund @ 0.2602, target is to sell @ 0.3349 within 2 years, the price that I sold in Jan2011...wish me good luck icon_rolleyes.gif

if dun have some saving, better dun die nowadays, keep working until have enuf money to die whistling.gif

BTW, household income less than RM3K only can get the RM500...household means husband and wife and children...if young couple today dun earn more than RM3K/month in total, I dunno how they can survive and how the RM500/year can help them... rclxub.gif Anyway, this is out of the PM topic doh.gif
