Im not pb agent but agree on the clients servicing part.
Just pay your agent if they monitor your investment well. But please dont invest with an agent for the sake of helping a friend. Money still money. |

QUOTE(kparam77 @ Mar 2 2012, 02:42 PM) i think the price will goes down during GE. nothing wrong wait for cheaper price. how bout going towards GE?my personal view only. what i heard, going towards price up. after GE, price goes down. also, i read an article written by OSK analyst; he said that buy before GE, and sell 1 month later after GE. |

ye lah.
from what i know, if it goes down, usually it well get up and hit higher than previous one. i think i will do temporary switching on the day they announce GE. what do u think? my objectives on investment only to get 10% profit then re-invest. if later going towards i hit it, i sell them off and wait for other time to invest, perhaps after GE. |

thanks for ur advise KF.
but i have 4 times switching for free. actually i invested in CWA funds. the reason why i post in PM thread because CWA thread is dead i dont see those consultants actively in this forum. and KF, i invest using EPF money only. for my savings from salary (not all, only some for future plans), i invested in equities and i took the advantage of free switching given by the company. the free switching renew every year. KF, i need information from surroundings in order to trigger my investment. by only reading from newspaper, internet and talks among friends is insufficient. so i need people like you guys to give some inputs so those opinions i can mix and made good ingredients to success in investment. hope u dont mind. |

QUOTE(kparam77 @ Mar 2 2012, 07:23 PM) yes, buy before GE, that is direct stocks, not the funds. tu lah, tengah duk buat lah ni.if u buy equity funds now at high price, 5.5% SC, before reach the break even, kalau sudah jatuh apa macam? buy stocks and take profis before GE. hope can gain a bit this time. i really feel like shit when failed to take any advantage from Aug - Feb. |

QUOTE(kucingfight @ Mar 2 2012, 07:24 PM) hafiez, u lost me, CWA is? guess ur more in depth than me. free switching? CIMB Wealth Advisors, boss. yeah, with this sugar coating bull and economy, honestly, at times i'm confused myself. but i kept on telling myself to be discipline, like the wise man WB. just be patient and eventually bearish reality will set in with all the QEs around, even by means of waiting for a long time for it to set in. which by then, convert bonds to stocks |

QUOTE(sovietmah @ Mar 20 2012, 10:25 AM) I think it is quite peak to buy any unit trust fund now. you might need 1-2 years to recover ur modal. If lumpsum investment with no topup, yes. But if apply DCA, no.I have an investment bought at quite high price. But i applied the DCA method. now already making profit of 5%. |

Haaaa...ok. I get what u mean.
But if pa % better than other places, then it is ok rite? Eg, epf. Let say invest with PM for 10 years and make 150% profit. Per year, it would be 15% profit. Epf only give average 5.5% per year. Are we get into same conclusion? |

Robinhood, give ur investment a rest first.
Later put them back in action. Perhaps u want to do those switching as suggest by others. As u mentioned earlier, ur profit is on paper only. Better take them out to realize it. |

QUOTE(BBSH @ Mar 26 2012, 12:06 AM) I used to invest my EPF in PM equity / bonds funds - learned my lesson then that we should NOT be passive investors. Switched a little late and did not optimise gains. In my practice, passive investment with unit trust is a NO-NO. The markets are fluctuates all the time. But it depends in few actors lah. Unless you invested in fixed income funds. Good luck. |

My definition of passive (EPF investment) is just dump in without do any action later.
The reason why we invest using EPF money is to gain more profits than what EPF offered. So, IMO, the investment shouldnt be passive. It must be active all the time. I've witnessed few investor only dump one time for their EPF investment, at the end he gain nothing because no proper action taken. That's how i viewed passive investment vs active investment. Well, it might be different with others. hehe. |
