QUOTE(David83 @ Sep 3 2011, 08:05 PM) By right, you should declare it. does pmutual have pure captal growth fund ? eg no distributions only focus on capital growth only ?What bizklguy said is capital gain is highly preferable rather than distribution since whatever you sell/gain from NAV appreciation is not taxable like distribution. |

QUOTE(debbieyss @ Sep 23 2011, 08:56 PM) But then, I read an article days ago that the share market in Malaysia may reach until 1330 points only, due to the steady growth of manufacturing sectors in Malaysia. QUOTE(David83 @ Sep 23 2011, 09:01 PM) If KLCI drops 20% from its 2011 high (1,594.7 points recorded in mid-July), it signals a bear market. That will be 1275.76. drop 20 only signals a bear... thought now already bear.. not yet officially BEAR yet ? i think 1300 is quite possible.. somemore with the wind of election is coming |

QUOTE(wongmunkeong @ Feb 10 2012, 04:15 PM) Hm.. as a starter, i'd really suggest using only EPF a/c1 for mutual funds coz there is no cash flow impact, UNLESS U are a biz person that has no EPF. +1 , know the underlying assets so that u can know how the fund will perform if shit happens..For cash, U shd try direct REITs investment OR foreign focused mutual funds - thus there is some diversification in Asset Classes and Sub-classes. In addition, U will then learn about the underlying assets of equity funds as well - most "investors" do not know what makes up an Equity fund or Bond fund or Mixed fund. Just an opinion yar, no right/wrong. |
