I think the issue here is the expectations of the consumer. I did my foaming with icecube for my ford focus recently and the handling and ride is firm and steady. Also, did the sound proofing for the front engine bonnet, now a more quieter engine but louder road noise. So, win here, lose there. I did not do the complete sound proofing so as to test the results step by step. Back to the main issue, what is the customers expectation???

maybe i was not clear, i only did the bonnet sound proofing, which was due to the original noisy diesel angines. After that, the engine sound is now quieter but then because of that, the trye sound is now more obvious. So win here, lose there...I did not expect that to solve all my "sound" problems but at least the main sound problem first. that is what i mean by managing your own expectations!!! Hope you understand that.
.. Also, when i first did the foam for the undercarriage, the noise was much quieter, which was why i decided to try the sound proofing with icecube. So far, so good, got no problems with icecube's work. |

I sent my second car for "foaming" last week, the Mitsubishi Grandis MPV. MPV is spacious but handling is not its strongest point and the body roll is very heavy. At high speeds (above 120kmh), it gets a little unstable. After the "foaming", I left the MPV for two days and just took it for a drive yesterday. The results were fantastic. Body roll is much less, quieter car and interestingly, the engine seems more responsive (not too sure why after the foaming??!). The wifey even wants me to "foam" her car next!!!.
