anubias nana...not petit...but if u bought it more than RM20 mayb its petit but the leave too big for petit

pic 2
Echinodorus cordifolius, usually LFS sell it RM2

pic 3
cant recal the name...non aquatic plant...but perhaps u can proof me wrong

pic 4
brown algae...normal for early setup
no otto? just rub it using ur finger...or cut it off...new fresh leaf will grow...
*
thank you so much biggrin.gif
yes, my dad say he get the pic 1 one with less than RM20 so i guess it's just nana
the one in pic 3 also RM2/bundle

it seems it's more like my dad's sampah garden rather than my planted aquarium
i warned him not to feed my shrimp and fish so they would go clean the algae vmad.gif
He just can't resist feeding them
maybe this explain why everyday one or two neon sayonara too mad.gif

getting two otto tonight hope they would do the job.

Doesn't look like neons to me. I think they are Cardinal Tetras. They are very sensitive to water conditions. Hence, the sayonara process. tongue.gif It costs at least RM2 each, right?
*
yes... you are right.... RM3 each cry.gif
get 8, left 4
I top up the amount back to 8 with neon last night
If no one look very closely they won't notice brows.gif

the color will be very very obvious when they grown up  sweat.gif

shocking.gif doh.gif

but so happy to see them swimming in group wub.gif
at least the "sayonara process" paused yesterday
praying hard it stop forever wacko.gif

--------------------------------------------------------------

Update
gahhhhhh, another tetra just sayonara cry.gif
nothing special happen, PH and temperature both stable

it just suddenly lose control and float with the water flow
when I see it, it was gasping for air and gone within 5min

he was still swimming happily in the group half an hour ago cry.gif

New Tank?
*
yes
started running on 16 dec, with 2ft tank, yeats CO2, 55watt lighting, HOB filter (360L/H)
added a tiger bard for water cycle purpose on next day
(I heard it quicken the speed to start a new tank)
get about 10 pcs ghost shrimp (those use for feeding) on 19 dec

everything was fine

until 3 days later, i took out the tiger bard and add 16 tetra in (8 cardinal tetra, 8 black neon)

and I start lost 1 or 2 of them everyday
first was black neon, until the number of black neon down to 5

It is cardinal tetra's turn
there is only 3 cardinal tetra left now cry.gif

another thing that I wonder..... they often swim like /\/
go up up and swim strait for like 1cm and "zoooom" down
is this normal? because i don't see those in LFS do this hmm.gif

from your description.. it seems that your tank has been running/cycling for only one week

a totally new tank will need around 3weeks to cycle properly, and if u using any soil, ie ADA, it will be leaking ammonia during the initial stage of planting

min 2 weeks to be safe  smile.gif

QUOTE(naoki666 @ Dec 27 2011, 10:23 PM)
Your forget to check for ammonia, but the best thing is try to rinse it or put your plants at 1 spare tank "nothing inside just for cleaning purpose" for 1 day then only put it to the main tank... did what you did last time end up 3 RCS, 2 at day 1 and 1 at second day same anubias plant..... reason could be either copper or ammonia spike from the plant (notice some soil at the driftwood?)... just rinse in if you prefer to see the plant in the tank than idle around wink.gif
*
oh... I see....
I plant with only holland sand and fertilizer ball
PH stay at 7++, I read that these fish prefer water around 6+ but didn't manage to get it
really should let it run with blank tank for a month before getting fishes sad.gif

added the bottled bacterial
and not expecting any of the tetras will survive till next month

I see they all accusing me from the afterworld bye.gif

You are having new tank syndrome. Btw, Cardinal tetra are sensitive to water parameters. It is not recommend to have this fish in new setup tank.
I lost 7 out of 10 last time even my tank was cycle for 6 months. 7 x rm3.5 go to drain.. rclxub.gif
*
cardinal tetra and neon still not doing so well... the number down to 4 last night.

I think my black neon are stable, the number stay at 5 for few days already.
I see they chasing each other everyday

didn't feed them for few days and they are eating anything that float it the water xD
I even saw they try to catch mosquito that stop on water surface

but I feel like rescaping now
those plant I having are seriously too big for a 2feet...
lol...

and my java fern turn darkish, guess 55watt for a 50L tank is really too strong for java

sisaiko kor, maybe u are right with the pic 3 too
I think they are mondo grass, definitely not an aquatic plant
hmm... but they does look like "Cyperus helferi"
so i still don't know tongue.gif
