1. i hav 1.5ft tank, im currently using eheim liberty 200 HOB filter, it the filter any good?

2.a) what is the temperament of Hong Kong lobster?
b) can it be in the same tank as shrimps or tetra?
c) is it hard to be keep?

3. im planning to do a diy co2. is it hard to be done?is it any good?

4. im planning to do a diy peltier cooler. is it do-able? anybody in this forum has any success in doing it?

4. how to treat thread algae issue?anybody has any experience?

5. let say im rescaping my tank, can i reuse my ADA substrate/top it up with same kind of substrate?

my aquarium temp now is around 27-28 deg C, how low can i lower my temp using a cpu fan, n will my shrimp be able to thrive in it?

what is the best for carpet-like foreground plant if im dosing seachem excel or api co2 booster only, no CO2 (this two product got glutaraldehyde inside it rite? wont it kill the beneficial bacteria? just wondering) some say glosso, some say HC, im confused.

btw usermode-san, ur 2nd 1.5ft tank is really beautiful.i believe u've made a video of it pearling in utube, rite?

1. what test kits do u use? any recommendations?

b) im currently using 11w+11w pl-s daylight bulb. (kinda DIY) is it enough?
c) what category do it fell into? low? medium? high? do i need CO2 injection with that?

-20 to -35 in moscow rite? damn cold i know...if u walk out on the street, even ur snot can turn into ice lol...

btw usermode-san... can u show me what kind of lighting u had for ur 1.5' tank? please...

edit :- my glosso is melting been planting it for 10 days now... but funny coz some of it come out new 'pucuk' already, any idea how to control dis melting? im scared later all melt... TT_TT

So what should i do? Cut those melting leaves? Leave it be? Should i do water change? How frequent? Sry if i ask too much..i wanna learn but duwan to experiment on my beloved glosso...kinda feel attached to them already...watching them reviving from semi dead state, sprouting new leaf, n then come this melting issue... T_T

Btw where did u all get ur deco stones? U guys bought it?

i just calculated...need at least 65w for my 1.5ft tank... *SIGH* where can i find this kind of lighting... prolly need to DIY it.... *SIGH*


edit :- i read the box of my PL-S lightbulb, it says 11w = 75w incandescent light. what that suppose to mean? 1 bulb is more than enough for my tank? confused...

yup. i use aluminium plate (not sure about the thickness, but it is thick enough for me ) for the mid plate. the idea is so that i can adjust the angle of attack of the fan

i believe east aqua in Midvalley doing promotion last month...dunno whether they're still doing it or not...

i believe if your filter is mature and working, (meaning ald cycled before) you can add fish straight into it... correct me if im wrong...

if co2 diffuser got algae growth how to clean up?

1. how long is a 18W and 24W PLL lightbulb? anybody know?
2. when i got back from my 1 week vacation, my aquarium water is brownish in colour. >_< has been doing daily 20% water change ever since but still no improvement. been dosing API CO2 booster only. tank is 1.5ft with 2x11w lighting. is it an algae bloom?
