HC can be grown immerse & submerse but pls beware buying submerse HC,when u direct put it into immerse state, HC will try to adapt to the environment and you will encounter alot of melting.

try to get fresh immerse HC to avoid this and also provide plenty of light & co2

i think you should slow down your pace,go slowly..

btw your soil still look too little, just an advice you should use 100% soil & no mixing with other gravel

for guppy fries,they are ready to take powder food available from shelf. But its recommended if you can provide microworm,brineshrimp,daphnia would be better.

By using eggyolk,you will cloud your water easily,eggyolk will be last alternative to choose.

LFS you can try find daphnia, those uncle uncle shop dont usually carry brine shrimp
