I like this glowing tetra fish.. the blue coloured ones in particular!!

A shop quoted me RM70 for an aquarium, filter, plant+sand set. Each fish would cost RM1.50.

Good deal?

Or maybe you guys got any suggestion for other types of fish? I like colourful glowing type

RM80 which is bigger than the RM70 aquarium tank is something like this:



The pet shop near my house is quite small, only has 1 type of glowing tetra I think.

Any place to recommend in KL? Because I think it's a little pricey here

Actually it's RM80 for the aquarium, light, filter, sand and plant(nt sure which type)

Currently looking at cardinal tetra as it's nicer because of the longer glowing strip.

Btw, last time when I reared fish when I was small. I used to have plants living in the small aquarium where my small fish was eating on the roots.

I remembered I didn't have to feed the fish at all, for like months? Because the fish would eat off the roots. Any idea what is it and is it recommended?

I checked a pet shop in Mid Valley (highest floor) and there's one aquarium 30x17x20 including filter and light costing RM88. Brand is Ocean Free. Worth while?

Btw, my first time getting fish so you all think I should get real or fake plants?

Is it possible to just use any container at home and use it as a aquarium?

I mean without the filter and all... maybe to rear tetra fish. Do enlighten me!

Reason: Just to see how's my initial interest is like... if more interested, then I'd get a proper aquarium+light+filter

How about I change water everyday?
