help...tank water turned cloudy after water change ( 50%)

cleaned filter with existing tank water and top up with tank water (before draining).

Any idea or solutions to it?
am thinking of making the bacter 100+ clear super+ penac W solution and pour in.

^ what type of cloudy?
bacteria bloom cloudy or dirt cloudy due to insufficient gravel cleaning or high level of dissolved constituents or something else?

sounds like bact bloom...

if bac bloom, just wait la right, will settle itself,
but O2 level may decrese alot, so i usually standby airpump toincrese o2 level hehe, well it should help

according to the book of ADA, is not recommended to wash ur filter at the same day of wc
perhaps u just wait for couple of days,to see either ur water will clear again or not
else shoot the powders

How about Philips halolite?

The philips will drain all your $$$ the electricity bill expensive laaa... if this light better buy the LED ones almost same price but wont waste $$$

yeps. MH will definitely burn a big hole in your electrical bill. and it create too much heat. unless your aquarium has chiller or 24/7 air con, i would not recommend to use this light. By the way, changing MH bulb is not cheap either.

low light means hours or what leh? i on 6-7hours per day.

U can use MH, but not this kind of MH
im using two (ADA bulbs) 150W...if u want u can come to our gallery to view it....

calculate your aquarium water volume, then use 1watt light per 1 liter water.
if you are not sure how to calculate, can get the calculator link from my wordpress website.

normally is very very low. you would need to get 1W or 3W or 10W LED light from jalan pasar.
and you would need to use heat sink and LED driver to run it.
if you are not good in wiring or electronic stuff, use back those light set from planted tank shop.
