QUOTE(applebee @ Jan 3 2012, 12:13 AM) ya, i also dun think it is algae. If I increase the flow rate, will it make the water blur again? I put in the plants when the water still blur. when the dust settle down. it covers the plants. Just afraid by increasing flow rate, will disturb the water again. it should not...but depend on flow style, don't direct to soil..make it flow on surface... |

QUOTE(maxtrix @ Jan 3 2012, 02:35 PM) I use Sera Florena Liquid Plant Fertilizer as recommended by NA. just a few drops weekly for my moss and riccia. I also put a layer of base fert below my holland sand. If you use soil, I guess liquid fert will be sufficient. Maybe other Sifu can add some comments. its okay for a few months, u may having a nutrient depleation after that, nutrients are categorized in 2 common types, which is micro and macro, for micro, u can use a few brand in the market such as Sera florena, Seachem Flourish, etc....for macro, it consist of 3 major elements, N=Nitrogen P=phosphorus K=Magnesium (Kalium)..do google for it, i'm using Seachem brand, it's doing well for my tanks...(taikor, do i confused micro and macro...pardon me.... |

is somebody know why my mini riccia turned into normal riccia in term of size? especially on top layer, but it seem nice on bottom layer side. Is that due to high light? Fert?

QUOTE(gwendoLYN @ Feb 2 2012, 03:37 PM) i have a 45l tank (28cm x 30cm). inside i got 1 SAE, 4 ottos, 2 cory & 3 tetra. my SAE is the biggest & longest (6 to 7 cm) fish in the tank. only during feeding time, my SAE always chase away other fishes. kesian all my other fishes especially my ottos. (my ottos always hiding behind the ferns) is this a natural thing? i thought SAE can live with other fishes? how to solve this problem? another question, i also plan to put 1 female & 1 male betta into the same tank. is it ok to do that? another question, can i put also keladi bunting (water hyacinth) in it? my tank is open tank. |
