Take a visit to BMS Organics or 'Be Lohas' restaurant is under BMS too. They serve 100% organic vegetarian but the price is quite expensive. One Lei Cha cost RM13.90:)

Well, only comment is go ahead if you've got the cash to spare. It's definitely healthier, e.g. comparing a kampung egg to a broiler egg. Poor people have just gotta follow the trend of large scale chemical intensive agricultural produce.

if you have to ask, organic food contains higher amounts of natural toxic compounds produced by fungi or plants , whereas conventional food may contain more synthetic toxins from pesticide residues which can also seriously damage human health and the environment. Then again Organic food is generally more expensive than intensively-farmed food. So...you decide

It's funny how you realize the restaurant don't give tissue for customers to wipe mouth after meal. It's part of their policy:) brows.gif

Psyllium husk is not detox powder.
It's actually a skin from some kind of seed, thus the name 'husk'.
Actually it's natural, if you have the real raw seed skin, not the kind they market as detox or beauty drink.
And the natural ones are really dirt cheap, because it's just the skin of the seed of some grass.
But if you drink raw... omg... the smell... like seed... and it's like drinking oats and peanut skins.
1 time is more than enough... ughhh...

I do think organic food is healthier and more nutritious than non-organic food. But really the price is too expensive for average rakyat to enjoy the benefit.
I would even say that it's not really a sustainable way for the earth population to survive, we will never get enough food if everything is organic.

So personally I do not like the organic food industry to grow too much. It's like having more luxury good in the industry that poor people could never buy in their life time.

You being serious? hmm.gif How do you do it.

If that's true, it'd be great. I will definitely buy if it's the same price as what you get from fresh market.

One thing about organic food, do make sure the product/vegetable packaging have certified organic logo, such as SOM, NASAA etc. Do google to learn more about the certified logo printed on the label (yes, there are fake organic as well, certified by unknown board, hint: MLM product)

As for livestock, such as chicken, until now, there is NO ORGANIC CHICKEN in Malaysia. Thus, there is no organic egg produce in Malaysia.
I've heard many people claim of organic chicken, those are actually free range chicken but cannot classified as organic. (unless you're feeding the chicken with certified organic feed)

I contacted an 'organic' chicken seller before. Asked him what type of food given to the chicken. He said feeding with feed bought from nearby commercial farm sweat.gif
Free range chicken is not organic chicken.

its very difficult to run organic farm thus high cost in their pricing.
without using pesticides and chemicals, its not easy to keep pest away by natural ways.

i feel theres a need of more organic shops to make it more affordable when more people consume it.
i been goin for organic vege for yrs

u can buy and owl at a kampung at a very cheap price..dont buy em at the pet store coz u need a blood thirsty owl that can do the job.. ..
Bout the lady bugs and black wasp/parasitic wasp just find a few of em n let nature take its course...insects produce fairly quick ..
oh yea dont be alarm by the wasps ...it doesnt sting people ..they're perfectly harmless ..
bout fertilizers ... u can find some local nursery that "maturing" manure and u can buy from them at at cheap rpice n some nurseries will give it for free..

wont say for rich people, its just cost more slightly but if it doesn't have much chemical/pesticides/additives etc maybe our health will be better and dont need to counter it in future by high medical expenses as inflicted by health complications when compared to eating non organic produce
