Sent my phone in for repairs today. They told me I'll get it back in 2-3 days. Hopefully it'll be free of issues then it'll be a perfect phone, for now

Weird, I've never experienced temperature going above 39 degrees except during charging. Bathing cat has no complaints haha

I've found stable undervolt-voltages for my phone. Do these voltages work for all kernels or do I have to test again for each kernel I flash to?
And are there any ways to backup touchwiz app arrangements? This post has been edited by keyzjh: Aug 25 2011, 08:12 PM |

Inotia 3 and Ninjump has never froze for me. But hungry sharks and heavy gunner did freeze a couple of times. Worked well after I increase voltage though (UV-ed before)

I feel lookout is draining lots of juice. Can barely get by a day with lookout on. But with antivirus free the battery drain is non-issue

Hey guys, I've been flashing to a couple of different ROMs.
I want to know if the dalvik cache should be wiped before or after new ROM installation? And about battery calibration in CWM. Should it be done before flashing a new ROM, or should it be calibrated when the battery is charged to 100% (the latter is what I gathered)? Asking this because right after changing from Batista to Cognition, my battery life halved with roughly same usage.. |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Aug 27 2011, 01:25 AM) It is an option but good practice. Not a must thought. Erm, so should I calibrate when it is fully charged? Or before/after rom flash? How long have you try? It would take at least 2-3 full cycles before you can actually see the battery effect. Calibrating your battery is a good move though. Honestly. Wow just installed BetterBatteryStats and Android Assistant, found out Lookout actually uses the most CPU % and causes wake locks
Quite surprising for me, as I've been playing games for one and a half hours.. Btw, does anyone know if toggling the GPS off in settings uses less battery? |

QUOTE(destEX @ Aug 28 2011, 08:38 PM) 3 months? that's when they release in us, wait another 3 more months la brader More than half a year haha. Good luck for those who wants to "wait 3 months" for Nexus Prime. And heck it has a pentile matrix. I wouldn't trade AMOLED Plus for that. |

If the PC system is anything close, quad-core only adds heat and consumes more power. Apps are not even optimised for dual core yet, what say quad?
Btw, even the supposedly Tegra optimised Riptide GP ran smoothly with CPU capped at 800mHz on my S2. |

Damn... really tempted to flash batista 3.7.3 now. But seems like many users reporting bugs.
Anyone with the latest batista + RAGEmod? Currently cognition v1.5 + Ragemod gives me great performance and good battery life |

Anyone know if I can use Titanium backup to backup settings from TouchWiz launcher and then restore it on a new ROM that comes with Touchwiz?
Will my app arrangement be intact? Flashing quite often..Thinking of using LauncherPro if TouchWiz cant be backed up. |

As long as you dont get picky over it, I don't see any issue with day-to-day use.
But if you feel it makes regular usage uncomfortable, time to head to the service centre. |
