Hi. I am buying a hedgehog soon from a friend but I would like to know what other "house" I can get for him beside a fish tank? I would want a transparent one to check how he's doing from time to time

He now climb to my hand willingly. I can grab him up with no much problem. He's now pretty active
[attachmentid=2541366] He keep on messing his water up I'm afraid when I'm not home he will have to drink dirty water. I now put him in a ball and he is running all over my room |

QUOTE(Devilene @ Nov 19 2011, 11:34 PM) Hey there, I haven't been posting for a while, was so busy with college She's so cute! My room is too small and messy I don't really dare to put mine out to run much, unless when he's in a hamster ball and he cal just knock his way around the house. I just got him a few days ago and he refuses to eat hedgehog food. Bought him cat food yesterday and he ate like he has never eaten in days, which is true. He now dares to climb on my hand and walk around already. So hey, this is a recent photo of Nephthys. She's gotten... kinda huge despite only being 3 months old.. I hope she's not obese or anything since she exercise daily, running the wheel all night thn running around my room when I'm busy with work. She just crossed my feet [attachmentid=2544344] |

Mine won't stop pooping on my hands now. I don't know why. Any way to stop that from happening? LOL. And I wanted to try something else for him to eat besides cat food and yogurt. he's only two months. Any suggestion?

I have a huge problem with my boy here. He seems to be sleeping 24/7. I barely see him move and he don't eat much. Then he twitched even when a tissue touched him and he is not as active anymore. He looks so bad that I'm afraid he might die soon

QUOTE(nethelp @ Nov 24 2011, 07:47 AM) How old ur hedgie? Mind to share the picture here? Currently I having 4 adult female and 2 adult male, so far as I know they r very "durable". If u not so sure about it then better bring to the vet. I bought him a week ago. He's about 3 months old. I'm putting it at a friend's house now cos I needed to make sure is it the noise my housemates made make him scared. If he's still like this, I'm bringing him to the vet. Here's a picture before he became like this. [attachmentid=2550862] He was fine before. It just happened like two or three days ago. If I constantly move him from room to living room, will e become like this? |

He sleeps through the night as well. I have moved him to a friend's house for now cos it's much quieter over there. I'll probably bring him back after a few days after I find a quieter place cos my friend said he did eat yesterday. When he was here, he kind of refused to eat.

QUOTE(nethelp @ Nov 24 2011, 05:53 PM) When u bring him home, just let he settle down for few hours, leave onli water then after that onli put back ur food for him. When I adopted the female S&P from my fren, she refuse to eat for one week! and she onli drink water. She's getting thin and thinner day by day so finally I try feed her mealworm and she begin to eat cat food after that. Two months ago she just give birth to two healthy hoglets. Oh that's nice. I'll try to do that then. Is there anything he can't eat at a young age? I actually bought hedgehog food for him but he refuses to eat, at all! So I bought him catfood and he ate like he's never eaten, a week ago though. Now he eat lesser :/ |
